Another great sketch this week over at Skipping Stones Designs. It was a bit of a challenge for me as the layered panel is not something I'd probably ever do on my own, but I like how it came out :) I got my Skipping Stones stamps and was so excited to use them! I chose to use the new Heart Song 2 and I love this set so much already. I stamped the rose image on my kraft paper first in white ink and then layered the pink on top. For the pretty bird image I did a bit of masking so I could give him some foliage to sit in. I just love the quote...it's so true! I hope you have had a good week. I am slowly feeling better, still have a cough but am hoping it clears up soon as it's my oldest birthday party this weekend and I need to be well! Thanks for coming to visit me:)

TT#166 Flowers and Hope
I got to play with more of my Flourishes win with this gorgeous set, Botanical Bookplates Vol. 2. I don't have the coordinating die yet, but it's on it's way to me ;) I decided to use my much neglected watercolor pencils to color the image and am happy with how it came out. I used the large pansy image to create the pattern paper. The challenge this week for Timeless Tuesday is Bingo! I chose Pink, Blue and Buttons. The die cuts were cut using my Cricut and Lacey Labels. I hope you like it. Thanks for stopping by.

Cricut is Close to My Heart
There is a new blog called Cricut is Close to My Heart and I am so happy to get to play along with the wonderful ladies over there. Bobby has graciously let me come on board even though I am not a CTMH consultant anymore....but there are several ladies who are so be sure to SHOP with them:)
We are featuring the fabulous Art Philosophy cartridge that is only available through CTMH. I seriously love this cartridge. If I could only have one, this would be it. I created a LO and well as a card with all the details on the Cricut is Close to My Heart blog. Thanks for dropping by!

Babies touch the world....
My happy mail of the recent Flourishes release came last week :) I had fun inking up 2 of the sets right away called Love and Lace and Antique Lace Background. I heat embossed the silhouette image of the mother and child and added one of my hand made buttons. I hope you are having a good Monday...the kids and I have been sick, so we are going to lay low today. Thanks for dropping by:)

Spring Birthday
I pulled out the image I haven't used in ages the other day to make a sweet spring birthday card. I love this little chick and the over sized tulip :) I colored the image with Copics and sewed on some buttons with embroidery thread. My embroidery thread was a mess, all my colors just tossed into a box and inevitable were tangled so I didn't reach for them much. Then I got the idea to organize them by wrapping each color around a wooden clothespin. It worked like a charm, looks super cute and now all my colors are separate and easy to use :) I love organizing! Hope you have a great day...the weather here is just beautiful so I'm off to pull weeds in the garden.

Baby Girl~ SSD124
Another fun sketch this week over at the Skipping Stones blog. I am still anxiously awaiting my new stamps so I didn't have them to play with yet, but pulled out this old Kim Hughes set and a background and sentiment from Wplus9. They had these little pearls I love so on sale at Michaels the other day so I stocked up, now I don't feel quite as stingy when I use them ;) Thanks for dropping by!
Timeless Tuesday #165
I played along over at the Flourishes blog and the challenge this week was to use your favorite Flourishes set. Hard choice but I went with the Cherry Blossoms set as it is one I love. I colored the image with Copics and the rest is pretty self explanatory:) I hope you are having a great day! Thanks for visiting me.

More Meadow
Both cards were made using the Inkadinkado set, Meadow. Love how large these silhouettes are and I love making very simple cards with them. How was your weekend? Mine was good...once the snow (yes, SNOW) melted I enjoyed it much more. I have terrible spring fever. I did go see the movie Mirror, Mirror with my mom and a friend, it was fun. Very clean good entertainment and wow on the gorgeous costumes! Oh yes, and I couldn't believe it but I actually won the newest Flourishes release! SO excited about that as it's the first time I have ever won anything!! Thanks for stopping by:)

Great Love...
I made this bookmark to join in at the Flourishes Bookworm challenge :) I do love to read and have several friends that do too! I finally inked up the Fushia set and really enjoyed coloring it with Copics. I like to keep my bookmarks very flat and simple since they are after all going to be resting in a book. I hope you like it! Thanks for stopping by:)

Wrapped in Happiness...SSD123
I played along at the Skipping Stones Design weekly sketch challenge and pulled out my Crafty Secrets Wildflowers set. I heat embossed the white silhouettes and did a little ink resist to the background. Skipping Stones just had a release and I loved the set so much that I just ordered it today along with a couple other sets, so I hope that I can get inky with some of their stamps for the next sketch. Thanks for stopping by :)

My Creative Space
We don't have a very large home, no basement or extra bedroom. So I have a very small, but very mine craft closet. Literally, our master bedroom closet :) It actually works out wonderfully and honestly I love it to pieces. I love being able to see what I have and everything is pretty much right at my finger tips. Do I ever long for a bit more space...yes, but the fact that I can have a space behind a closed door that is just mine is such a blessing. Here is the view when you first walk into the closet. We took the door off and I had an old, small antique desk that fits perfectly :)
This is to the left of the doorway. The majority of my stamps are in the baskets along with all my cardstock and pattern paper in the cropper hoppers. You also see my Big Shot (love!) and that book next to them is where I keep all my dies.
In the basket are all my embossing folders and below them my ink. I love that I don't have to get out of my chair to reach my inks.
This is to the right of the doorway and holds my Cricut Expression, Juke boxes and all my cartridges. Above that, my paper trimmer and photo printer.
I have an inspiration board where I keep photos I am going to scrap, my scrap paper and along the wall is a hanging shoe rack that I keep all my punches in. I love my little spot...thanks for touring it with me!

Blessings to you
He is risen! He is risen indeed! Happy Easter to you...I hope you have a blessed day. I got to pick up a new set at Michaels the other day from Inkadinkado called, Meadow. So pretty...I'm such a sucker for silhouette images of flowers and grasses. I have made 3 cards with the set so far, here is one. I stamped the image in black onto kraft cardstock and then used my Distress inks and sponge tool to blend in the background. Then I embossed the sentiment, PTI Everyday Blessings, in white detail EB powder. At first I forgot to use my emboss buddy and to heat set the distress ink...let's just say I was a tad worried the card was ruined as after I tapped off the excess powder there was just a solid block of it and my sentiment was no where to be found. I brushed it off, heat set my card, used the buddy on it, re-stamped the sentiment and thankfully it turned out okay! Whew...adventures in crafting! I hope you like it:) Have a wonderful day!

Framed Birthday
I played with the Botanicals Cricut cartridge and chose this pretty rose frame. When you cut it it's all one color of paper you've chosen, so I cut it twice to piece it together so that the ribbon and rose could be pink. I used the PTI Retro background set for the bottom pattern, a birthday sentiment and the pearls are Liquid Pearls. I like these a lot because they give the pearl look but are much more mail friendly. I hope your Easter weekend is blessed! Thanks for dropping by :)

A few baby cards
Hello! I have been creating but busy with other life things and haven't had a chance to post. I have been making more baby cards for the shop and thought I'd share :) This one uses my baby carriage image colored with Copics.
The little card pulls out to reveal the sentiment and a gift card could be tucked in with it.
Life has been generally good....some rough patches thrown in but as they say without a little rain there would be no rainbows. My last grandparent, my dad's mom, passed away 2 days ago :( She lives in another state so it was not possible to go see her or for the service, travelling with 3 kids and the two of us and airfare equals not possible! This has been a rough year so far...many losses already. I lost my other grandma in December, then our 2 family dogs, our miscarriage and now my last grandma. *sigh* But, I still have SO many blessings and for that I am so thankful. Thanks for coming by:)
