I was interested to see what the author's emphasis would be and overall was pleasantly surprised. For the majority of the book I agreed and appreciated his points of showing connection and continuity of the God of the Old Testament and the God of the New Testament. I do think most tend to separate out the two when the bible clearly says He is one and the same. My problem with what the author presented for me came up in the last few chapters of the book. The over emphasis on evangelism in the way that much of the modern church deems as "the way to do it otherwise people won't have a chance of being saved" (quotes are mine) is irritating as well as a complete hypocrisy to the main theme of the book that God IS bigger than we can comprehend. We should live a life that reaches out to people to show them the gospel, but it is not up to us to save the world. Christ already did that and He is to be trusted that each person will stand before Him without excuse whether a missionary spoke to them or not. I would recommend the book but with caution for the last few chapters. I give it 4 stars.</div>

Embraced by Lysa Terkeurst is a book of 100 devotions in a beautifully crafted format. The book cover itself is gorgeous, it's a linen feeling cover with a gold embossed title and a beautiful washed out watercolor like art work. The inside pages carry the same cover art throughout and it has a ribbon book mark. Each devotion starts with a scripture and then ends with a prayer. Lysa shares personal experiences to flesh out the scripture that is being focused on. It is an encouraging read for busy women and would make a lovely gift. I give it 5 stars.</div>

This is a beautiful, classic looking Bible that is perfect for taking notes in or for Bible journaling. I really love that it has cross references along the inside column but still reads as a one column text. The way they designed the cross reference notes is easy to follow and I really love that it has this feature.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
If you were to use this for Bible journaling the pages are white! Most tend to be more cream but these are the whitest pages I've seen. I don't mind the text size, but it is not large by any means. It has a ribbon book mark, a nice stitching detail on the front cover and lays completely flat when opened. It also boasts a concordance in the back and an elastic band to go around the outside. Would make a lovey gift. Highly recommend!</div>

The Bountiful Blessings A Creative Devotional Experience by Susie Larson is a very pretty book full of short devotionals with a scripture and an illustration to color on the facing side. The illustrations are nature themed and are not overly complicated to color. The paper is suitable to use colored pencil and perhaps some non-bleed through pens. This book would make a very nice gift for anytime of the year to young girls to adult. I give this book a solid 5 stars and would highly recommend.</div>

What a pretty book! Such a great coloring book and introduction to hand lettering. The size is generous which I like for relaxed coloring. The drawings are varied and beautiful. There are many scripture verses and quotes through out which add to the calming space this book offers. I really like that at the back of the book is a hand lettering alphabet you can print for practice. There is a little bit of instruction in the beginning of book as well, but the best way to learn lettering is to just practice. This would make a wonderful gift. Highly recommend!</div>

This is a very pretty, hard cover Bible that has lots of room for Bible journaling. There are lots of journaling prompts but they can be easily covered if desired with space still left to do your own journaling. There are also lots of pages that are completely blank. The font isn't large but I don't find it hard to read at all. It has a pretty ribbon bookmark. I am really enjoying this Bible and would recommend it! Five Stars*****<br />

Many know the acclaimed author Walter Wangerin Jr., the storyteller who gave us the national bestseller The Book of the Dun Cow.<br />
<br />
In Wounds Are Where Light Enters, you’ll see how God’s love breaks into our lonely moments in unexplainable ways. Wangerin tells the stories of memorable characters facing the same struggles we all face as we try to trust in God’s faithfulness.<br />
<br />
Wounds Are Where Light Enters is a collection of stories that are warm, sometimes funny, sometimes not, but always taking unexpected turns to find the care of God in all the pathways of life. In them we find the grace that enables us to live with the answers we see and the answers we don’t see. In this collection we meet Arthur Bias, the retired black police officer who loves those who hate; Agnes Brill, the shrill piano teacher of patience; Junie Piper, precious of the homeless; Melvin, who honors his aging mother by honoring the little girl she has become; Lucian, the lover of thieves; and Blue Jack, the hammer of God.<br />
<br />
Readers will discover in these stories a powerful display of God’s working in the lives of all of us. They’ll find a place where he works even in the dark, even in the struggles, even in the wounds. This is the place where God’s light enters.<br />
<br />
**My thoughts**<br />
I really love books that are comprised of stories from real people's lives and my favorite kinds are those showing that God is always with us and always working. This was a very enjoyable read and I would recommend it to anyone that is encouraged by reading about how God touches our lives. It would make a lovely gift too!<br />

I was actually really excited to get to review this Bible as it boasted being so thin but the entire Bible text. Well, it lived up to it's name and is a lovely Bible. Not only thin but has lovely silver edged pages, quick reference tabs and two ribbon bookmarks! The cover is also a very nice black, bonded leather. This has quickly become my favorite Bible as it's so much easier to hold. It would make a very nice gift.</div>

They Came For Freedom is a wonderful historical novel about the journey of the pilgrims to America. It is a great read and is full of interesting history in an engaging text. I am looking forward to reading this to my kids as they get older. Historical novels are such a great way to learn history and have it stick with you. Highly recommend!</div>

I was lucky to be asked if I would be willing to do a review for some products from <a href="http://www.silkplantsdirect.com/">Silk Plants Direct</a> and I said yes! They offer so many beautiful products I had a hard time deciding but when I saw these beautiful bird nest lanterns I just knew those were it. Be sure to check out this page on their site as well!</div>

They come in a pair which is really nice and they have a lovely ivy type vine with berries entwining the lantern and a beautiful bird's nest with 3 pretty eggs. I was so happy to have the chance of reviewing this fabulous resource, Evidence That Demands a Verdict by Josh and Shawn McDowell. One, because I own a much older copy which is falling apart from use and because this one has even more faith building truth in it's updated and revised form. I highly recommend this book to every Christian and even any person that may be skeptical of the claims of Christianity but is honestly seeking truth wherever it may lead. Five stars!<br />

The NKJV Study Bible for Kids is a wonderful Bible for kids and parents. I especially love the time lines that are throughout the Bible and that they reflect a biblical time view. There are lots of other interesting articles and thought provoking sections throughout the entire Bible as well, so it really is a true study Bible. I plan to use this with my kids during our school times. They remarked to me liking the colors and that it was fun to read. I give it a solid 5 stars! Would make a great Christmas gift as well.</div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
The book Love Heals by Becca Stevens addresses the different ways God shows his love to us and offers healing. The book is set up by topics, such as healing through creation, healing through daily rituals etc. She gives examples of how these different areas have been seen her own life and those she is in contact with. The author is the founder of a women's organization called Thistle Farms which sounds like a great ministry, but I personally disagree with a woman being a pastor or being "ordained". For that reason I can't agree with some points in the book and so only give it 3 stars.</div>

The NKJV Cultural Study Backgrounds Study Bible is an amazing resource bible full of pictures, maps and topical studies. The bible is huge and heavy! I was surprised at how large it is but not at all unhappy with the size because what it is filled with is wonderful. But it is not a bible you are likely to tote around with you. I am using the bible as a major part of my home school studies this year and my kids are really enjoying it. I give this bible a solid 5 stars and highly recommend!<br />

<div style="text-align: center;">
Hi! I've been MIA for a bit now and thought I'd pop in and give an update on what's been going on for me. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
In April I opened an Etsy shop called <a href="http://etsy.com/shop/florajoydesigns">Florajoy Designs.</a> I thought that I might be able to sell things here and there but instead it has exploded into a job that requires a large amount of my time. I am so thrilled with this as I am getting to design and sell my own art. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I am also busy with my 4 kids and home schooling them. Life is very full but rewarding. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Because of how much is on my plate I have stopped doing design work as I just couldn't possibly keep up with all of it. I wish I could do it all, but I can't. Being able to be in control of what creative things I'm doing is such a blessing and I am thrilled that this door opened for me. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
If you'd like to see what my shop is about come visit me at <a href="http://etsy.com/shop/florajoydesigns">Florajoy Designs</a> and on Instagram @florajoydesigns.</div>

Here's a peek at what I'm doing. My niche is traveler's notebook dashboards but I also create journal cards and custom orders.</div>

The NIV Kids Visual Study Bible is a wonderful resource Bible not only for kids but adults! I love this Bible as much as my kids do and it is filled to the brim with photos of the actual places and artifacts in the text. I love that it is easy to just leaf through and discover interesting facts as well as use it as a full study Bible. Highly recommend! Five stars.<br />

Hi! Today I have a pretty card to share with you using the gorgeous <a href="http://www.joannamunster.com/">Inspired By Stamping</a> set <a href="https://joannamunster.com/product/cherry-blossoms/">Cherry Blossoms.</a></div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I started by stamping my image onto white cardstock and then creating a mask so that I could use Distress ink for the background. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I colored the image with Copics and mounted it onto some contrasting cardstock. I used some ribbon from the Pink's ribbon collection and my sentiment is from the stamp set.</div>

Today I have a card to share using some<a href="http://artneko.com/"> Art Neko</a> images. I love sentiments that have a lot of meaning. The stamp set I used is called<a data-mce-href="http://artneko.com/displayItem/A375-0001" href="http://artneko.com/displayItem/A375-0001"> Framed Koi and Kanji with a Wee Butterfly.</a></div>

I just love this sentiment.<a data-mce-href="http://artneko.com/displayItem/A118-0007" href="http://artneko.com/displayItem/A118-0007"> He who obtains has little he who scatters has much</a>. So true! I stamped the image and sentiment onto watercolor paper and colored it with Tombow markers. For the water I used a very light blue and quickly covered the entire background. I then went over the water in the front of the image around the koi with the same blue to achieve a darker tone. I love how one color can give varying effects.</div>
