Swans

Hi! I have a super pretty image to share with you today called Paired Swans Swimming in a Lily Pond. I just love swans, such beautiful and regal birds.

I stamped the image onto white cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with my Copic markers. I really enjoy white images because you just use a light shade of gray in the shadowed areas and it gives the illusion of a white image without it being completely flat.

I paired the image with some patterned paper and finished it with some pen dots and a little paper rose. I hope you have a creative day!

Birds in a Nest

Hi! Leah here with you today with a sweet card that could be used for so many occasions or just because the image is so sweet. The image is called A Family Nesting in a Cherry Tree.

I stamped the image onto white cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and then colored the image with Copic markers. I chose some contrasting patterned paper for the background and layered it behind the image.

I added some faux stiching and  twine bow with a little gem stone in the middle. I hope you are having a great day. Thanks for stopping by!

Butterflies

Hi stamping friends! Today I have a butterfly card to share with you. I love the weather changing and starting to warm and I've even seen the first few butterflies this year!
I pulled out a couple favorite sets from Inspired By Stamping to create my card today. The first set is Hexagons. I love this background building set! I stamped the small image of 3 hexagons twice at each corner and filled them in with various patterns and colors.
Next I used the Butterflies stamp set and stamped the two largest butterflies and colored them with Copic markers. I then trimmed them out and adhered them onto my card base with foam tape.

In between the butterflies I stamped my sentiment and to finish it off added some sequins from the Valentine's Day sequins and some faux stitching with a black pen.
I hope you enjoyed my card today. Thanks for stopping by and have a beautiful day.

This pretty stamp is called So Many Books So Little Time with Gerbera Daisies. I stamped the image using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and used Copic markers to color. I punched a small hole at the top and added some jute twine. We are always needing bookmarks in my home so these will find a book soon :)

Poinsettia's

Hi there! A Christmas card from the past today! My card today uses the gorgeous Poinsettia's and Berries ( K40) image and I made my own custom pattern paper with it.

I started by stamping the poinsettia image all over and then coloring them with Copics. Once that was done I went back with a white strip of cardstock and gold heat embossed the Old World Merry Christmas (E739) sentiment. I added some stitching to finish.

Inspirational Frame Gift

Hello! Leah from Paper Blossoms here today to share a gift giving idea. I love inspirational sayings and quotes so what better way to pair some beautiful images up with a lovely inspirational saying and put it in a frame ready to gift to someone special. Let's get started!

Gather your supplies which include stamp sets of your choice, I'm going to use Fresh Bouquet and Words of Inspiration II, a picture frame (the one I'm using is 4x6" ), some white cardstock to stamp on, a die cut label to stamp the sentiment onto, some ink and coloring tools, I'll be using Copic markers.
Gift2
The first step I did was to stamp all my elements. I stamped the large flower bouquet twice onto my cardstock panel in Memento ink. I then stamped the sentiment onto a Fancy Labels 2 die cut. Set the sentiment aside and let's start coloring!
Gift3
I always tend to start coloring my leaves first. I chose four different green and varied the leaf colors. I always start with the lightest color and then go over the top of it with my darker color. For the veins in the leaves I used a flicking motion to add in dark shadows. Can you see the leaf I missed? It's okay, it happens and once you start coloring the flowers the missing leaf will pop out to you.
Gift4
Next, I colored the large hydrangea flowers. I chose the above colors again starting with the lightest color and going toward the darkest. The middles I left for the end.
Gift5
Finally I colored the peonies in a bright pink. I again started with a light color and flicked on darker pink. This contrast was a lot higher than on my hydrangeas so to tone it down and blend it I went back over the dark pink with the light pink and it softens it out. Now attach your sentiment and place your completed image into the picture frame.

And here is the finished project all ready to give to someone special. I added a few stamped images for the Words of Inspiration II set and chose colors that tied in with my background.

I hope you enjoyed today's gift idea! Thanks for joining me :)

September Great Impressions Challenge

Hi! Today I have my challenge card to share with you for Great Impressions. I decided to use some cute baby stamps :)

The cute stamps are called (H132) Baby Blocks and (F525) Stars and Heart Border. I stamped them onto white cardstock and used Copics to color them. I added some patterned paper to mat the images and machine stitched around the whole panel. I wanted to keep this a gender neutral card.

Peony Tiles

Hello! Another Art Neko card to share with you today!

Sometime it's really fun to use a small stamp and do a repeating pattern with it. I chose the pretty stamp (A257) Small Framed Peony with Carvings. I also didn't want to color in every square to add interest, so I chose specific ones and colored those with Copic markers. Some rhinestones finished my design.

Thanks for joining me!
