Another very simple LO

I adore looking at the really detailed LO's I see in magazines or at my on my bloggy friend Sandy's blog, but when I sit down to do one they just seem to always be super simple....so here is another one:) Cricut cuts are from Lyrical Letters, Home Decor and Storybook. I embossed the title with Swiss Dots. For all your scrap needs, especially for Cricut and Cuttlebug stuff be sure to head on over to Your Memories Here. Kristina offers great prices and service. Maybe my next LO will be more involved, but we'll see ;) TGIF!

Lovely....and a DT call!

My card today uses the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps set Autumn Blessings. I wanted to make a leaf wreath so I stamped the leaves over lapping each other and then colored them in with Primacolor Pencils. The pretty sentiment is from the same set. We've been having quite blustry weather that is blowing all the remaining leaves off the trees, but we did have some beautiful colors this year.

Are you interested in being on the BRAND NEW digital DT for Sweet 'n Sassy?! Read this call and visit the new Digi BLOG and get your submissions in if you are!

Tuesday Throwdown #3

This week it's a color challenge! These always are challenging for me as they are usually colors I would not reach for together. The colors are a cranberry red, brown and an orangy yellow. For my card I used the Harvest Blessings set and inked up the turkey. For my sentiments I spread them out onto the squares and stamped them in white CTMH ink. The little flower is from the Gracie set sentiment, "one of a kind". Be sure to stop by the Sherrod Studio blog to see the other DT's creations and to play along with us! Thanks for stopping by!

For my background I used the Baked With Love sentiment and repeatedly stamped it on my card layer. The pie has some frosty Stickles for "sugar". The heart is a Cricut cut. I hope you can play along, you may use any stamps you have but if you have Sweet 'n Sassy images we'd love to see them! Thanks so much for popping by:)

One more thing! Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps is going to be celebrating our 2nd birthday and we are releasing a brand new line called the Sunbeams! Go visit the SNSS blog and grab a blinkie to spread the word and be entered into a drawing to win some Sunbeams of your very own! Click HERE!

Stamping Only

One of my very favorite ways to use stamps is to make a scene, or to use them exclusively for the entire design, no layers, no embellies, just ink. For this little birthday card I used the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps set, Birthday Buddies to create my scene. (The clouds are from Kim Hughes set, Whimsical Wishes) I just love the different animals in this set, fun to color! I hope you are having a lovely Friday:)

Supplies:
Stamps: Birthday Buddies, SNSS
Other:Colored with Copics

I hope you like it! Be sure to pop on over to Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps today!

Throwdown Tuesday for Sherrod Studio

This week's challenge is to make a card using the emboss resist technique. This is a really fun and easy technique! I used the Christmas Greetings set for my card. The tree is embossed in clear and then I sponged orange ink and the embossing resisted the ink:) How do you like my very non-traditional Christmas colors? I thought it would be fun to mix it up a bit. Be sure to visit the Sherrod Studio blog to play along and visit the rest of the DT to see their great creations (full link list on my right sidebar). I hope you are having a wonderful Tuesday!

For Unto Us...

I wasn't able to play along last week at Stampin' Sisters In Christ, so I wanted to be sure to join in this week:) The theme this week is looking ahead to Christmas and the reason that I personally celebrate, the birth of my Savior, Jesus Christ. For my card I used the beautiful digi set by Chris Dickinson, Shepherd Boy available for just $3 at Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps. This is a very mail friendly card as it's completely flat, but I still wanted to give it lots of texture, so I embossed and added those pretty Cuttlebug corners that I honestly forgot I had! I hope you are having a wonderful Sunday! Thanks so much for stopping by, and your comments mean so much to me:)

Supplies:
Stamps: Shepherd Boy, Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps (digi)

It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas....

At least in blog land with us paper crafters! *lol* Welcome to the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps blog hop! I switched days with Chris, so I get to share with you today! My first card features a beautiful set called Winter At Home. If you love to color this set is a must for you, such fun scenes to color:) I used my Copics, a new EK Success border punch ( isn't it gorgeous?) the MS branch punch and some bling. Even though I hate to be cold I must say I love to curl up in front the fire place. We have a wood burning stove and it is divine:)
My next card features the second tree in the Christmas Tree digi set illustrated by me that is being released today. I had so much fun drawing this one:) I got the idea driving home from getting groceries one day looking at the small pine trees planted along the road...anyway, hope you like it! It's got some Stickles and some threaded buttons, which I love and need to use more of. Be sure to stop by the SNSS store to pick up some great holiday stamp sets and visit the rest of the DT for more inspiration. Next stop:Ceal Pritchett Have a merry day!

A Song

I really enjoyed making this card. I did it for the Stamp Something challenge this week which is brown plus something. I used the Sweet 'n Sassy set My Little Chickadee (which is back in stock!) for my image and sentiment. The white flowers are from Mike's bridal section and the middles are little Primas, but I think I've figured out a way to make them myself:) Hope you like it and I hope you remember to sing in your heart no matter what your day is like. Thanks for stopping by! Means so much to me:)

OH! and be sure to come by soon for a sneak peek at one of my new digi sets being released Thursday and tomorrow (Wed.) also starts the SNSS Blog Hop! The entire list of links for the next 3 days are on my sidebar way at the top. Hugs!

Butterfly Thank You

I am hosting a weekly challenge on Paper Craft Planet every Monday called Monday's Sweet Treat Challenge. I'd love for you to come join me HERE! For the challenge this week it was to use a tag(s) on the card. I rarely seem to use a big tag on my cards so I made it the mat for my focal image. The butterfly and sentiment is from the Sweet 'n Sassy set In His Time. If you play along and upload to a gallery please use the tag, MSTC01 and leave a comment linking your blog post too:) I hope you have a great Monday!

Supplies:
Stamps: In His Time, Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps
Tools: EK Success lace punch, Textile embossing folder, Cuttlebug, Fancy Tags, Spellbinders

Dandelion Kisses

I've been trying to do at least one LO a week, and have been doing pretty well with it. I decided to share this one with you:) I used some gorgeous BG Urban Prairie paper, paper that I am forcing myself to use because I like it so much! *lol* I also used some great supplies you can find at Your Memories Here, the hydrangea Primas, Dew Drops and 3 Cricut cartridges, Wild Card for the bird, Jasmine for the title and Accent Essentials for the scalloped border. I have decided that I like simple, linear LO's and I think being okay with "my" style has really helped me get more of them done. It really is a joy to work with photos of the ones you love most. I hope you have a wonderful Saturday!

Stampin' Sisters In Christ-Challenge 7

If you haven't visited the new challenge blog, Stampin' Sisters in Christ you should go take a look. I found some time to join in this week and I love the theme for the challenge, having a heart of praise! That is ultimately what God wants our heart attitude to be no matter what circumstances we are going through, we can always praise Him!

For my card I decided to use one of my very favorite Sweet 'n Sassy sets, His Eye Is On The Sparrow. To me this image conveys joy and reminds me that if God knows and cares about the sparrows I am safe in His care and provision.

My news that I had for tomorrow is going to have to wait a little longer, but once again it is just proving to me the care and love of my Savior. I hope you are having a wonderful Sunday.

Supplies:
Stamps: His Eye Is On The Sparrow, Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps
Tools: Damask embossing folder, Cuttlebug, Sewing machine, Nestibilites, Fancy Tags
