Scrapbook Pal Blog HOP!

Welcome to the Scrapbook Pal Blog Hop where you have the chance to win a Cricut cartridge of your choice just by hopping to the Scrapbook Pal blog, becoming a follower and then visit each of the DT's blogs and leave a comment! Be sure to start at the Scrapbook Pal blog and end there as well saying you completed the hop.

I love crafting projects with my Circut and it fun to discover all the unique and versatile ways you can use die cuts. Scrapbook Pal is a wonderful store to buy all your Cricut, Cuttlebug and other supplies from as their prices are really low and they offer FREE shipping on orders of only $25 or more! Not many stores offer that!

For my project I worked the fabulous Wall Decor and More cartridge and altered this journal that I picked up at Michael's for $1! These make great gifts and also great personal journals or note books. Here is what I did:

I selected the bird image and cut it at 3 1/2" twice, once for the top layer and once for the bottom layer and adhered them together.

Then for my leaves I cut two at 1 1/2" and one at 1", just cutting the swirly layer.

For my sentiment I chose the phrase, "Count Your Blessings" and cut it at 1 1/4".

I inked my edges with Creamy Brown Fluid chalk Cat's Eye ink and made my Victoria embossed bird cut sparkle using the Sakura Clear Star Gelly roll pen. I also embossed my mat with Swiss Dots and I also glued on some rhinestones, lace and a silk flower.

Now be sure to visit the rest of the DT and I hope YOU win the cartridge of your choice:)
