Sparkle!

Hi there! Well, just a few days to the New Year! I have a card to wish you all a Happy New Year!

This little penguin is so cute! It's called (E903) Ice Skating and the sentiment is (E904) Sparkle with Joy. I stamped the penguin onto white cardstock and colored it with colored pencils. I layered some patterned paper and added a few sequins to finish it off!

Quilted Reindeer

A cute Christmas card today!

Such a cute image! It's called Quilted Reindeer and is from Art Neko.

I stamped the image onto white cardstock and colored with color pencils. Then I mounted it onto the pink background and used a white gelly roll pen to give the impression of snow. Some patterned paper and stitching finish it off. How are you doing on getting your Christmas cards out? Thanks for stopping by!

Wreath

Hello! I love wreaths so I was happy to use this image for my card share today.

This image is called (H290) Stylistic Wreath. I stamped it onto white cardstock and colored it with colored pencils. I then trimmed out the image and added some gold sequins. I really like making flat Christmas cards so they are easy to mail!

Victorian Christmas

Hi! I've got a pretty Victorian inspired image from Art Neko to share with you today.

This image is called By The Fireplace On Christmas Eve. Such a sweet scene :) I stamped it in black in and then used colored pencils to color. The pretty foiled paper is called Gold Poinsetta on a Field of White. I layered some patterned paper underneath and added a strip of ribbon. Thanks for stopping by!

Great Impressions Monthly Challenge

Hi! Today I have a challenge card to share with you! This is a fun Christmas image that I just couldn't resist.

I stamped the image in Versafine Onyx black ink and colored with Faber Castelle Polychromos pencils. The image is called (F638) Christmas Cows and the matching sentiment is (E902) Do You Herd. A bit of twine tied in a bow for embellishment.

Mom

Today I have a pretty card to share with you that would be perfect for your mom or someone who has been like a mom to you.

This pretty frame image is called (H226) Butterfly Frame and I colored it with colored pencils and then trimmed it out. The sentiment I hand lettered. 

I added some machine stitching and ribbon to finish it off with a bow.

Watering Can

Hello! Today I have a card for you using some Great Impressions stamps.

This is such a pretty image and I wanted to used my colored pencils to color it in. I stamped it onto watercolor paper as that gives the colored pencil more tooth to hold on to and I didn't try to blend it out. I think letting the medium shine through in texture is nice too. The image is called( G302) Watering Can and the sentiment is (D500) So Very Special.

Lovely Lady

Hi there! Do  you love vintage inspired images? I do and have a card using one of my favorites today.

This beautiful image is called (H195) Victorian Lady and I colored her with colored pencils on watercolor paper. The sentiment is (E763) Sunshine.

Bible Art Journaling

There are lots of great groups on Facebook for different artsy things. One I've found recently is Bible Journaling. I'd heard of it before but had never really looked into it but when I did I wanted to jump on board. I bought the Zondervan NIV Journal edition Bible and really like it. It's got 2" wide margins and a gorgeous cover. I personally want to keep my pages very smooth, so I am only using dry media in it. Many people do paint and use Gelatos and such, but I am going to stick to colored pencils and Panpastels. I wanted to share one of the pages I've done. I hand drew the image and used Faber Castell colored pencils to color. 

Autumn Squirrel

Just wanted to share my latest coloring with you. This is from the Johanna Basford Enchanted Forest. I used Faber Castell Polychromos pencils and Lyra Rembrandt Polycolor pencils. I really enjoyed this one! What do you think?

Winter Friends

Hello! Today we have one last stamp set to share with you from Inspired By Stamping called Winter Friends! It is such a sweet stamp set that can be used all year and for various occasions. Here's a look:

I started by stamping and coloring the adorable bunny and deer as I knew I wanted to have the bunny give the deer a present. I used Faber Castell Polychromos pencils for my coloring. I trimmed them out and added the tree as part of the scene. The bow and sentiment are from the new Festive Greetings set. I heat embossed the sentiment using Zing! silver glitter powder. I die cut the hills and added a bit more Versamark ink to the top of one of the hills to heat emboss some snow.

Four Season's Toadstool

Hello! I wanted to share a recent coloring page from the Enchanted Forest book by Johanna Basford that I added hand drawn elements to and then colored. I am part of a wonderful FB group called Inky Obsession and they had a fun competition using this image with the theme being "seasons". I decided to go for all four :)

I was so surprised to discover that I was chosen as the winner of the competition! There were so many beautiful entries and I am so inspired by everyone's coloring on that group. I had a lot of fun with this and hope you like it too. Thanks for dropping by:)

IBSIC #98

Hello! Today I have a card to share with you using the new IBSIC challenge for Inspired By Stamping. You can choose one, two or all of the inspirations photos for your project. I chose the sketch and a few sequins.

Here is my card:

I did a bit of masking to get my bird where I wanted it but I was happy with how it came out. I used lots of wonderful IBS stamps on this card! The hexagons are from the Hexagon stamp set and I used the polka dot on to fill in the outlines. The script comes from Basic Backgrounds III, the flowers are from Summer Baskets and the bird and sentiment are from Summer Warbler. 

After all my stamping was done I colored my birdy with Faber Castell Polychromos pencils and blended with OMS. I added my trimmed out flowers and a sequin for the middle of each, some twin and faux stitching. I hope you'll come join the challenge. Thanks for stopping by!

Finding some new mojo

Hi! So, I'm sure it's happened to you at times as much as we love all the different things about papercrafting sometimes you just need a bit of a mojo boost. That's how I've been feeling lately and thankfully I found it! You may have been seeing or hearing about adult coloring books. Well I love to color stamped images so the idea of a whole coloring book really intrigued me. So I went looking around on Amazon to see what was out there and fell in love with one particular artist named Johanna Basford. I promptly bought both of the books she has out and have requested her new release (set to come out in October) for Christmas. Here is a glimpse at what I am finding renewed creative energy in.

 All of these pages are from the Secret Garden book. I hand lettered my name. I've been coloring with my Prismacolor pencils but have some gorgeous Faber Castell Polychromos on their way to me! 

 It's very relaxing to sit down and just color. I like that I can have something to work on that is the project in and of itself. Plus my daughter loves to color as well so I bought her a special book and we sit and do it together :)

 I also found a great FB group called An Inky Obsession that focuses on the JB books. It's such a nice supportive group and it's always fun to share! So, have you discovered adult coloring books? I'd love to hear what you think and if you enjoy them as well. Have a blessed day!
