My Friend

Have you jumped on the watercolor band wagon yet? I have and don't have any intent of getting off :) For my card today I inked up some lovely stamps from Inspired By Stamping that knew I wanted to watercolor. I pulled out Summer Flowers and did a bit of masking to get my flowers all arranged to the side of my Fancy Labels 3 die. I watercolored them using my Tombow markers. For the very light colors I color directly on the image and blend with a water brush, but for the more vibrant colors I lay down some color from the marker on my craft mat and pick it up with my water brush so I can control the color intensity. I also find the colors blend a lot better that way and you don't have any hard lines from coloring. I heat embossed my Fancy Labels 3 die cut using the coordinating stamp set with white embossing powder. For the middle circle I die cut it also using Fancy Labels 3 and stamping one of the Fancy Circles on it, embossing it in gold and used a sentiment also from the set. I then stamped and watercolored a little butterfly from Butterfly Wings and used a few papers from Vintage Floral and Spring Lilacs. Thanks so much for visiting me today!
