I wanted to make a friend of mine something to say how special and thankful I am for her, so I got out one of my favorite sets, Stitches and Swirls and got to work. I bought this set with projects like this in mind and the fact that it also makes gorgeous stamped work is just a plus :) I die cut the rectangles out of some very light weight cotton fabric and stamped my sentiment from the Flourishes Hydrangea set in Palette ink and heat set it. Then in a very light colored ink I stamped my images from the PTI Stitches and Swirls set. Then I embrodiered it. I used all the strands so that it looked really full. I then stitched on the ribbon attached to some tiny buttons and made a card to match. I must say I love how it came out and see many more little projects in the future;) I am even thinking little hanging pillows like this for baby would be so sweet and the local shop I work with is willing to try to sell anything I make so I think I'll give it a go. What do you think? I'd love to hear your comments. Thanks for visiting me!

Beautiful card. Love the detail. TFS
Your card is stunning. love the layout. Those colors are so pretty. The butterfly at the bottom is perfect. Love the little pillow. You are so talented. I love to embroider but arthitis in my fingers is stopping me.
Such a beautiful project. Your friend will love it. And, I could see those little pillows being a great seller. Maybe something to hang on the baby's door--one side says he/she is sleeping and one side says come play with me or something like that.
Wonderful and lovely, Leah!
This is so lovely! The background stamping is wonderful and I love all the details you added. The butterfly is my favorite!
Gorgeous! Love the colours and the little pillow is adorable!
Wow Leah! Your work just blows me away! Enabler Alert! Anna Griffin's Super Sale is going on RIGHT NOW! I posted a link on my blog. I can see you have an appreciation for beautiful florals, so I figured I better let you know. I almost missed it!
