I was so excited to get to work with the Preserves cartridge and matching embossing folders and to try out some Smooch product from Scrapbook Pal this month. I decided to make a little gift emsamble by creating a mini pizza box and matching card. I first started with choosing the colors and paper I wanted to work with and then started cutting!
I cut my card base first. Even though the intent of this card is for a recipe, I decided it would look just as good cut larger and folded in half for a notecard. I cut the card on page 52 at 5 1/2" and folded it half.
Next I cut my strawberries. I cut strawberry1 at 2 1/2" and then cut the leaves for it using the layer feature. I then cut strawberry1 again at 1 1/2" with SHIFT On, cutting one with the FLIP feature ON and one with it OFF.
For the strawberry on my card I used strawberry2 at 3" and then cut all the layers, leaves and flowers, cutting an extra flower for my above strawberry1 cuts.
I used the matching Preserves embossing folders to emboss my card base and mats and also used Swiss Dots.
To give my strawberries just a bit of shine I painted on some Taffy Smooch on the raised embossed "seeds". I added an outline of Sakura Clear Star gelly roll pen around the middle of my flower and finished everything off with some punched borders, ribbon and pearls.
I love this cartridge as it has a TON of different sweet fruits to choose from and is perfect for gift giving projects. I hope you enjoyed my project!
