Angel Pillow and Dish Towel

I got some crafting time today and finished up a few more Christmas gifts. Above is one of at least 2 more angel pillows I want to give this year. I knew I would love the PTI Love Lives Here-Holiday stamp set and it is getting quite the workout :)  I cut the wings out of Vintage cream felt but the angel was die cut out of the same muslin as the pillow base. I used scalloped square Spellbinder dies to cut those and love the scalloped edging it gives the finished pillow. This can be hung up or even on the tree.
I had a hard time getting a good picture, but this is the dish towel I stamped also using LLH Holiday. I just adore that pine bough stamp, so sweet. I used pallete inks and heat set them, so I think washing should be okay. I have 4 more of these to do. I am glad I have started early this year, makes it all so much less stressful and enjoyable!  Thanks for stopping by...your comments really are a bright spot in my day:)

A gift bag and flowers

I've been working on Christmas gifts and have been making some gift bags using PTI's Front & Center #1 die. I used the lovely Love Lives Here-Holiday stamp set for the front of the bags. I love this set so much! I've wanted it for the last year and am so glad I finally was able to get it. I have another project in the works with it that involves some sewing.
I recently purchased a new to me Cricut cartridge, Giant Flowers. I loved the idea of creating more realistic looking flowers but at first was a bit disappointed that the flowers have to be cut so large. Okay, I was a lot disappointed and put the cart up for sale for a day thinking I'd never use it. But then I decided to hunt around online for projects others have made with it, and well...I kind of fell in love with it. *lol*  I love the center flower cuts especially because they can be adapted to fit smaller flower cuts off other cartridges and the individual petals that are cut off the Giant Flowers cart are great too because they can be adapted to make totally custom flowers! The rose on the right was cut at 2" and assembled according to the handbook. I had to adjust how some petals were attached as the slits were just too small to work with at that size, but it still came out pretty. The flower on the left is totally custom designed by me. I cut the center from the poppy and petals and cut one base flower from the Mother's Day Bouquet cartridge. I formed all the petals and just started assembling till I got my flower. I love the more realistic center and the leaf cuts are great too. So, I am happy it worked out for me because I try not to purchase things I won't use! These flowers will look gorgeous on packaging, home decor and wreaths. I plan to make more:)  Thanks for stopping by!
