Hello fellow crafters! Leah here and I am so excited to be sharing peeks with you for the newest release for Inspired By Stamping. This is a gorgeous release full of meaningful sentiments and gorgeous florals. We are showcasing Mother's Day projects and mine is the gift I will be giving to my mom. I created a gift ensemble of a card, a draw sting bag and a mini tag book.
I wanted everything to coordinate so I kept the same color scheme throughout each piece. I chose to work mainly with the beautiful Sweet Peas set, but some peeks of the Mother's Day Bouquet set are in there too :)
I went with watercoloring as my main feature for coloring these lovely flowers. For my card I stamped my image in Versafine Onyx Black in and watercolored using my Tombow markers and a water brush. I also pulled out Vintage Banners to house my sentiment which comes from the new Mother's Day Bouquet set. My pattern paper comes from Spring Lilacs and a bit from Vintage Floral.
I was pretty excited to try out stamping on a fabric bag and watercoloring. I stamped my image using Memento Luxe ink in Espresso Truffle, heat setting it and then watercoloring my image using Inktense pencils. I applied my color by using a water brush and picking up color directly from the tip of my pencil and then coloring the fabric. While the fabric is wet you have time to add or take away color by blotting with a cloth, but once it is dry it is permanent. Once I was happy with the color I heat set it. I also wanted a little something to go in the bag, so I made this little tag mini book using the smaller scale image of the sweet peas, this time colored with Copics.
Inside the little tag book are various quotes from the new Mother's Day Bouquet set as well as Everyday Greetings, which is also being released in just a few days. I hope you enjoyed my gift ensemble! Have a wonderful, creative day!

Absolutely GORGEOUS, Leah. Your watercoloring is exceptional, especially on that adorable little bag! Your mother (or whoever receives this) will surely love it!
FABulous & Gorgeous too!! I love your set Leah! Your mom will be jumping up and down over this one!! I love to do things on fabric and those sweet peas look amazing on the little bag :)
