Hope...

Hello! I hope that this day finds you well. Three days into a new year and I need to heed the advice on the card I made. The world can be so very discouraging can't it?  The world can practically shout at you to give up, tell you you don't have what it takes and that you never will. I had a spell of that. These projects today are just one of several I submitted to a DT call that I didn't get chosen for. I have submitted to many, many calls in the years past and the majority of them are failures...by the world's standards anyway. I must listen, strain to hear Hope whispering to me that my worth is not in DT's, not in being popular or known not in anything but the One who gives me worth because of His love for me. This world will keep disappointing me but I am so humbled and thankful to know I have a sure Hope I can cling to that won't ever let me go...no matter what.

I used some PTI goodies and my Cricut Art Philospohy cartridge to cut the box, frame and rolled flowers. It makes a pretty little ensamble for a gift that I will take joy in giving away. Listen hard friends, there is a Hope greater than anything in this world calling for each of our hearts to come home. hugs....

These are so pretty, Leah!
I understand your discouragement. I applies for two DTs in December and didn't get chosen for either.... and was very disappointed. However, I did pray about each of the teams ahead of time, asking for God's will in if I got picked or not. I have to believe that neither of these teams were in His best interest for me. Will I keep applying? For sure! But I'll also keep praying and leaving everything in my Heavenly Father's hands... I love that He can see the big picture, even when I can't.
Hugs, Leah!

Leah... I agree with Leigh... if you weren't chosen there was a reason not because your artwork isn't good enough but that it wasn't the right time for you maybe! Your work is STUPENDOUS! Keep it up and keep on trying to get on a design team if that is your dream... but pray about it and make sure you can keep up with demands of being on a design team too... having to produce... just my thoughts. Have a blessed evening! Kathi

Beautiful work. Love the one with the doily.
Leah, just continue to believe in yourself and God's plans. You are a woman of faith and know that God has better plans for you.

I too wonder these things. I need to remember that it's not about being chosen, it's about being who God made you to be. (and how you chose HIM!) IMHO, your creations are wonderful and we are the ones being blessed by them!

Just lovely, dear friend!! This is why I don't apply for DT's... :) Don't be discouraged! As others have said, you share your charming handiwork with US, and we so appreciate it.

Again, so very lovely. :)

What an encouraging post for me to read. I stumbled upon this while checking your blog out from the IBS DT call. Funny how The Lord works to place us right where he wants us in His timing. I too applied for this DT call but was not accepted this time.

I realize that it's not that my work is not "good" enough, just not what they were looking for and that's okay...I craft for me and what The Lord wants to bless me and others with first. He knows my life and my future better than anyone else and I continue to trust and hope in His plans for me...He has a hope and a future for me as His word says!

On that note, Big Congratulations to you on your DT position! I look forward to seeing more of your lovely creations!

Blessings,

Adrienne
