Makaio's Announcements

In an effort to stay busy during this super hard wait to bring my baby boy home I finally felt a break through of peace that God is here with me and will finish what He started. I realized that I have been demanding my gift, and that's just not how gifts work! After all, the very name we chose for him means "God's gift."  I need to let Him give me Makaio in His perfect time. So, I made his announcements :) Felt really good...I'd had this idea in my head for awhile now, used some PTI goodies and I googled how many miles it is from our home to the captial of Ethiopia, Addis Ababa, where my boy is. Wow! is all I can say... Priceless pretty much sums it up.

The picture quality is not great, but this was taken mere minutes after getting to meet him. Soon he will be mine...always. hugs.....

Hi, Leah... These are really sweet. More special than "usual" keepsake announcements because of all that you've waited and prayed for. Really love the blue and kraft...not over the top blue and pastelly....and swiss dots embossing always tickles me. So happy for you...and can't wait for you to be with your heaven-sent baby.

These are precious, Leah!! Thinking about your breakthrough that you were "demanding" your gift and that's not how gifts work...isn't it kind of God to show us, "Hey, your thinking is a little off here! It doesn't work that way," then to help us adjust our thinking - giving us peace in the process.

Wonderful and truly 'priceless' baby announcements. I love the way you've used the postmarks - really makes a statement of all the miles you've travelled. The picture of Makaio smiling and looking at your husband says so much about the love of family. Just beautiful.:)
