Sweet 'n Sassy Blog hop, Walk On The Wild Side

Welcome to the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps blog hop! I'm so glad you've hopped on over to visit me:) I have 2 cards to share with you today. Our theme is featuring "wild" animals but these are so cute you just want to snuggle both of them!

My first card features the adorable set, Doodle Birds. The branch is from Sweet Dreams. Playing around with this set I discovered the littlest bird fit in the bird house! To get her little body to show up and be colored I stamped her on a separate piece of paper, colored her and cut out just the body. So you have her wings and legs stamped directly on the birdhouse and I used a pop dot to raise her body up for some extra dimension. The images are colored with Copics.

My second card uses the oh so cute, Baby Blessings set. I just love this giraffe! I used a fun color combo for this one, at least I thought it was *lol* I just adore that sweet sentiment...makes me want another baby, anyway, back to the card! For the background I used the Beautiful Borders set to make my pattern. I colored the giraffe with Copics and then to give it a little something extra added crackle paper glaze by Ranger. It cracks when it dries, as you can see in the close up shot, gives the overall effect that little extra boost.

I hope you've enjoyed your stop! Be sure to visit all the DT's blogs, the complete list with links is at the very top of my right hand column. And be sure to stop by the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps store, there is a huge sale going on you won't want to miss:)

Yowser, two for the price of one! A very "tweet" card, Leah. Doodle Bird is one my faves... and your card is the bomb! I love the way you hung the birdhouse on the branch. Very cool! And I'm falling in love with Baby Blessings. Look at that cute, textured giraffe. Awesome!

These are both SO sweet, Leah! I love how you combined the branch from the owl set to make that hanging bird house on your first card. The color combo on your second is wonderful, and how neat are those textured spots! Beautiful creations, Leah!
