Mother's and Daughter'sCreations First Annual Blog Roll

Happy Mother's Day to all of you! And big hugs to those of you that this is is a hard day...whether you don't have your mom with you or you long to be a mom. Well, I'm going to share a couple of pictures with you and in doing so discovered that I don't have a recent picture of my mom and I together! Something I'll need to remedy today:) My mom and are blessed with a very close relationship and I am so grateful. She is truly one of my best friends. And she is an amazing Grandmother to my children. I thought I'd share one of my earliest memories of her with you.

I was about 4 years old and we had chickens. I remember having a basket to go collect the eggs in and loved it. Well one day one of the chickens escaped, and my mom went running around the outside of the house to catch it. It is a very funny memory to me because I can still see her running bent over with her arms out stretched trying to catch this silly chicken:) She did catch it after what seemed a very long time to me and I don't think I'll ever forget that. It was a lesson of sorts. Perseverance, don't give up no matter how hard things are, even if you are running after a dream, or a lost chicken;) Here are a couple of photos for you, not the best quality but they do reflect our real life.
