Just Because....Card Patterns
There is yet another new card challenge blog called Card Patterns. I finally got a chance to play along this week with the sketch they had and came up with this. I really love how it came out. I went for a bit of a different color combo than usual and really like it!
The paper is from a mat stack from Me and My Big Idea and the sentiment and poppy are stamps from Cornish Heritage Farms. I did a technique that was shown on the CHF technique talk forum and love how it came out! I stamped the poppy 3 times, once on the white cardstock base and then twice more on a separate piece of cardstock. I colored the poppy in with Prismacolor pencils and then cut out the entire flower and on the second image cut out the middle part. Then I gave the petals some massaging to get them to bend, layered them and adhered them to the base stamped image. Gives so much demension!
I added some dry embossing with my Swiss Dots, ribbon and stitching and a pearl/glass bead stick pin from Paper Blooms. Thanks so much for visiting me and I always appreciate your lovely comments!!
