Star Struck- Book Review

I was very excited to review this book, Star Struck by Dr. David Bradstreet and Steve Rabey. The middle of the book has a very nice collection of color photographs of space which are really enjoyable to look at. Throughout the book are other black and white pictures. The writing style of the book is easy to follow and read, not a hard to read scientific work. I appreciate the work of scientists who are also believers and who work to uphold the accuracy of the Bible as a historical document. Unfortunately this is where I am sorely disappointed in the author's view and condescending tone towards believers who are informed and knowledgeable young earth proponents.  The author basically calls anyone who believes the earth is only thousands of years old an idiot and that "things have moved on." (Chapter 11 pg. 133) He ends the chapter saying a ridiculously contradictory statement, " And may we resist the temptation to baptize any particular cosmology or declare it the final word about how our Creator created." And yet, he has declared that unless we go along with the secular time frame of billions of years we are stupid.
Sadly I have to give this book only 1 star. I personally wouldn't recommend it to anyone as such a foundational part of Biblical history is undermined.

**I received this book from BookLookBloggers in exchange for an honest and unbiased review. All opinions are mine.**
