Hello stamping friends! Today I have a fun and easy way to stamp using Gelatos. Let's get started.
I started by selecting the stamp set I wanted to work with and a few Gelato colors. I chose the Friends Forever set because a solid image works best for this and the brush stroke stamp is perfect!
You can put the Gelato onto your stamp either dry and then spritz with water, or lightly mist you stamp first and then apply the Gelato. I did find I had better luck with having the stamp slightly wet first and then rubbing the Gelato onto it.
Then you simply stamp! It will be quite a bit wetter than stamping with ink so just be careful not to smear it as it dries. Continue stamping this way until you are ready to stamp your main image on top of it. Be sure the Gelato stamping is dry!
Here is my completed card. I stamped the flower bunch right on top of the Gelato stamping, added a sentiment from the Wishing You set and used some patterned paper from Spring Lilacs and a bit of twine. I hope you enjoyed my project!
