**Hopefully the photo now shows up! Thanks for letting me know it wasn't!**
There are lots of great groups on Facebook for different artsy things. One I've found recently is Bible Journaling. I'd heard of it before but had never really looked into it but when I did I wanted to jump on board. I bought the Zondervan NIV Journal edition Bible and really like it. It's got 2" wide margins and a gorgeous cover. I personally want to keep my pages very smooth, so I am only using dry media in it. Many people do paint and use Gelatos and such, but I am going to stick to colored pencils and Panpastels. I wanted to share one of the pages I've done. I hand drew the image and used Faber Castell colored pencils to color.

Hi Leah. For some reason I am not able to view your picture today, either in my email or on your site. But I am interested in your Bible journaling. I am just about to make the first mark in my Bible - very nervous:) I am in a Bible study now and plan to use that as my inspiration. Like you, I want to keep mine flat. I have pastels but have never used them. Is there some type of finish that you have to use or are they permanent? I am subscribed to your blog and already follow you on Pinterest and just followed on Instagram so look forward to your art. Thanks for sharing your talents. Gilda M
Hi Gilda! Thanks so much for your comment and reaching out. I don't know why you can't see the photo, it comes up for me. For the pastels you can use a spray fixative on them but since it has moisture I think it would cause some wrinkling of the page so I am choosing not to use it. Honestly I haven't had much or any transfer or rubbing off happen so I think they will be okay. I was super nervous to begin as well but once I did it is a wonderful way to worship Him. Here's the page I posted on my blog. Thanks for following me too! All the pages I've done are on my Instagram too. I'd love to see your first page after you do it! Hugs....
Hi Leah - the pictures is not showing - and I JUST got into Bible Journaling this past week after viewing a page on DRS Rubber Stamps Blog Challenge - I am so loving it - I have the Tyndale Bible Journal and I purchased 3 more for my grand-daughters and my DIL in which we are going to Journal together - there are many ideas out there - I do water-colors which cause a bit of a pucker but I love the feel! I really do - and I use color pencils as well - I am going to buy the stuff you brush on the pages and try my watercolor on that just to see how it does - I am also stamping in mine and so far so good! This is truly a lovely way to get the WORD into your heart - I am so loving my adventure - see if you can upload your photo again as I would love to view it - have a blessed week! Gail
