Watercolor Fur

Hi stamping friends! Leah here today to show you an easy way to get a soft, fur texture with watercolor. I pulled out the Easter Bunnies set from Inspired By Stamping as the cute little bunnies are perfect for this technique!
Bunnies
You'll need your choice of stamps, water, a paintbrush, watercolors and a q-tip.
Bunnies2
Mix up some of the color you want for your image and then dip the q-tip into it.
Bunnies3
Then, with a pouncing motion you color in the bunnies fur with the q-tip. The color will transfer but will be applied with the soft texture of the cotton from the q-tip.
Bunnies4
Once you are happy with the fur texture you can go over the entire image with a light wash of a different color to fill in the gaps and to create more depth. Once the image is dry you can then watercolor in the rest.
Bunnies5
Now you have some cute, fuzzy bunnies! I created a border with the egg images also in the Easter Bunny set.

Here's a close up of the watercolor texture.

I hope you enjoyed this fun technique to create some fuzzy fur! Thanks for joining me today!
