Double Matted Focal Panel

Hi there stamping friends! Today I have a fun technique to give your focal image a bit of an extra boost to make it extra special. Let's get started!
DoublePanel
For this technique you'll need a stamp set of choice, some dies that are graduating in size and your coloring medium. For my project I chose to use the newly released Inspired By Stamping  Cherry Blossoms stamp set, Fancy Labels 2 dies and Copic markers. You want to choose the die that will fit your entire image and then one that is smaller that will easily fit inside your largest die cut so that you'll have some image overlapping. After you've stamped your image onto your die cuts you'll want to color them.

Since most of the bottom panel will be covered up you don't need to do detailed coloring, just enough on the parts that will show. On my smaller top panel I did my detailed coloring. I recommend using foam tape to give your focal panel more dimension and it will really pop that double matted panel look. **tip: that's why I did completely color the bottom panel because with foam tape you would still be able to see bits of an uncolored image.**

And here is my completed card. When layering your focal panels just pay attention to where the stamp lines should line up :)

Here's a close up of what mounting it on foam tape looks like.

I used the beautiful papers from Vintage Floral and Spring Lilacs paper pads, stamped my sentiment and added some machine stitching and sequins to finish it off. I hope you'll give this technique a try! Thanks so much for joining me today.
