Cherry Blossoms

Welcome to day two of the Inspired By Stamping release! Today is a gorgeous set that will make you long for spring! It's called Cherry Blossoms.

For my card I wanted to capture the translucent quality of the delicate cherry blossoms so I stamped the image onto vellum, heat embossed in white and on the back side colored with Copics. I then mounted it onto  white piece of cardstock and stitched around the outside to hold it in place. Machine stitching is a great way to adhere vellum and you don't have any adhesive show through! I stamped the same image in black ink for my background pattern. This stamp is lovely colored or uncolored.

I also heat embossed the "cherry blossoms" sentiment in black and added some lace and pearls. Be sure to stop by tomorrow!
