Hello! Today I have another fabulous stamp set to show you from the new Inspired By Stamping release. This time the star is a lovely little bird and a fabulous sentiment. The set is called Summer Warbler and here's a peek.
And my card.
I really didn't know what a warbler bird looked like so I googled some photos and found a pretty yellow guy and followed the photo to color my warbler. I added in some extra branches and leaves.
I used my Rembrandt watercolors and two brushes, a size round #4 and a round #00 for the details. Layering up colors is the best way to go and to let each layer dry before adding more color!! Otherwise it all runs together and you loose any detail you achieved. (or you'll never achieve detail! ask me how I know ;)
I matted it on some blue cardstock and thought some gold sparkle would compliment my bird as well as the fabulous sentiment. Some machine stitching and sequins finish it off. I hope you like it!
