Summer Birthday

Hello! This week we are sharing fun summery projects! I am back today with another summer card that uses the look of the ever popular chalkboard. I thought the high contrast would be a good play on all that summer brings.
Chalkboard
I started with a piece of black cardstock and the Tropical Paradise set from Inspired By Stamping. I stamped my scene building images in Versamark ink and heat embossed in white. I go one image at a time so that I can see clearly and none of the embossing powder has a chance to fall off. For my sentiment and little detail I pulled out the Chalkboard Birthday set.

Since all my images are on black cardstock the perfect coloring medium was my Prismacolor pencils as the color really pops on dark papers. I like to blend my pencils using other pencils. I'll start with the lighter color and then blend with a darker shade or just back over with the same lighter pencil. I hope you have a great rest of your day!
