Seaside Sentiments

Hello! Hope you have been enjoying the new Inspired By Stamping release! Today's set is called Seaside Sentiments. Here's a peek:

I just fell in love with this particular sentiment as it has so much meaning to me personally in so many aspects of my life. I started by stamping the sentiment and heat setting it and then lightly sketched in where I wanted the bit of land, horizon and sun to be. I then stamped the cattails, grass and birds. Over all of that I used Reeves tube watercolors and several different sized brushes to paint my scene.

When painting water a nice touch that gives it a much more "watery" feel is once your piece is dry go back over the water and add very white lines either with an opaque paint or a white gel pen. I hope you have a great day!
