Retro Sketches #55- My Friend

Wanted to play along over at Retro Sketches and wanted to play with a new to me Inspired By Stamping set called French Boutique. Such a beautiful set! When cutting my paper mats I accidentally  reversed the order I wanted of my polka dots and pattern paper but that was the last piece of that pattern paper I had so I went with it. I did n't like how bright it was in the entire main panel and in looking through my scraps I came across a piece of vellum and went, ah ha! It was the perfect solution to toning the color down but keeping the pattern. I often forget about vellum. I colored the image with Copics and the bow was some white ribbon I dyed using some Kraft ink refill. I discovered that I just made a duplicate order of this refill and was quite annoyed, but then decided I'll use one to dye lots of ribbon and lace and keep one for my ink pad :)  Hope you are having a lovely day!
