Great is Thy Faithfulness....

There was a time when I desperately wondered if I would ever get to be a mom. Those were long, dark days. Though the pain of waiting several years and a miscarriage made me feel very, very alone I know, and knew, that I wasn't. God's faithfulness is amazing and it is constant, even if we sometimes have to look backward to see it.

Now I am blessed to be the mom of 3 amazing kids and in ways I find I need God's faithfulness now even more. It's a weighty gift raising children and as they each continue to grow into their own person I feel the burden more and more. But He will be faithful to them too.

One of our greatest joys as a family is reading. All the kids love books and every single night, pretty much no matter what, or it's met with tears and pleading, we read before bed. For the last several months we have been reading chapter books. Right now we are on the 4th book in the Laura Ingall Wilder series and we are all thoroughly enjoying them. It is such a joy to hear their creative play reflect the stories we are reading and I am so very thankful that God gave us the written word. Go read something good today:)
