Cloud9 Hop- Thinking of You

I have been following the Cloud9 blog hop for awhile now but have never played along, so I decided it was time to join in the fun. After studying the really great inspiration photo this is what I came up with.
I focused on the teal, red and white with a little splash of the chartreuse. I pulled out my new Folk Art Flurries and Love Birds to create this little scene. It may be hard to tell, but the circles are cut out so that the white you see for the back panel is actually the card base itself, so it does have a lot more depth in person. I stamped lots of the snowflakes and heat embossed the ones on the main teal panel. The bird was cut using the Love Bird dies and I stamped and fussy cut the branch. I also pulled out my sewing machine and did a bit of stitching. I really enjoyed creating this card and it's going to be mailed out to a friend tomorrow:) Thanks for stopping by to see me.

How sweet! I adore your polka dotted bird in the negative space, and the scattered snowflakes are so pretty. Beautiful stitching, too!

Leah, I love how you embellished the bird, and the detail in the stitching and in the tiny scalloped border is perfect. Thanks so very much for joining us at Cloud9!
