Moving into my new home I have been very inspired to create home decor, so for my project I have another wall hanging! This time it is love themed and perfect for displaying at Valentine's. The backing for my hanging was found when we moved in up in the attic. It had a super old faded picture on it that peeled right off and gave me the perfect canvas for my project. Here's the details of how I made it.

Using the Cindy Loo cartridge, cut Tree1 at 5 1/4" with and without the shift feature.

*Emboss the tree trunk using your Cuttlebug and the Damask folder.

*For the sentiments Love and Hope, use the Home Decor cartridge and cut with the shadow feature on, cut Hope at 1 1/2" and love at 1 3/4".

*For the Faith sentiment use the Home Accents cartridge and cut at 1".

*For all the sweet little hearts and dots hanging on the tree, using the Cindy Loo cartridge cut the layer feature on filigre1 with you REAL DIAL SIZE ON. at 1/2" in desired colors.

*Emboss hearts with Swiss Dots embossing folder.

*Adhere everything in place and finish with a punched border, and some shine on the embossed hearts using the Sakura Clear Star pen. Hang and enjoy!

Now on to the see the fabulous projects by the rest of the DT, and be sure to leave a comment at each stop and back at the Scrapbook Pal blog for your chance to win your choice of Cricut cartridge! Thanks for hopping by:)

TT#33- Distressing

This week's Tuesday Throwdown is to use distressing on your project. I have a little confession to make...while I was happily making this card I finished it and was about to take the picture and looked up at what the challenge was and realized I did no distressing at all! So out came my little chalk eye creamy brown ink and I added some ink distressing, but you can't see it very well can you? Oh well...play along with us this week to have a chance at winning a great prize from one of our generous sponsors. Thanks for stopping by:)

Love You Lots!

This is my mom's Valentine card:) She doesn't check blogs so I'm safe posting it. I used some lovely Oopsie Daisy paper from Imaginisce for a mat for my spray of hydrangea flowers from Prima. I embossed the background with the Damask embossing folder, probably one of my very favorite folders. I finished it off with an inked doily, a little tag for my sentiment, a felt heart and a punched butterfly. Be sure to stop by the Your Memories Here store to see what's new! Enjoy your day:)

Laundry Wall Hanging

The Country Life cartridge available from Scrapbook Pal for a great price, is just full of fun and sweet images. I just recently moved into my new home and wanted to make a wall hanging for my laundry room. This cartridge was perfect! I found a wall hanging at a local thrift store that I could alter and a few Cricut cuts later I had myself a perfect addition to my laundry room:) Here's how I made it:

*Using the Country Life cartrige cut the laundry cut on page 59 at 5".

*Cut layer 2 with the shift on at 5"

*For the sentiment cut the phrase option at 2 3/4"

*To layer colors for the clothing cut layer 1 and layer 2 at 5" in desired colors.

*For the rest of the clothing cut laundry with shift on at 5".

*For the flowers cut the layer 1 wldflwrs with the REAL DIAL SIZE ON. at 2".

*Using the Mother's Day Bouquet cartridge cut leaf 4 at 1" and 1 1/4" four times.

*Emboss clothes with Swiss Dots and Victoria Cuttlebug embossing folders.

*With a white signo pen add faux stitching around the border.

*Lightly ink the sentiment, "Fresh and Lovely" with Creamy Brown fluid chalk ink.

Assemble the hanging and enjoy your addition to your laundry room!

For those of you that know me I make a lot of baby cards, so I thought it only fitting to start off with one of my baby images, especially as any purchase you make will go toward bringing my son that we are adopting from Ethiopia home:) For my card I used the Birdie Delivery image, colored with Copics. I die cut the flower, layered it and added some Star Dust Stickles. I hope you'll go check out the Heart Song Designs store, I'm adding new digis everyday, and if you haven't applied for the DT why not give it a shot? Hugs....

Well, I'm late getting my post up for this week's Tuesday Throwdown, but, better late then never, right?! :) This week we have a fabulous sponsor, Mark's Finest Papers and a fun challenge, background stamping. For my card I stamped swirls on the bottom layer and polka dots on the top. I think this can pass for a more masculine card, which is always a good thing to have in your stash. Gingerbread Cookies

This was our third year of our tradition of baking gingerbread cookies before Christmas. The kids love it and we surely get our fill of gingerbread for the year! I used some fun Christmas paper, Prima lace trim and rosebuds and I finally tried out the trendy banner look! I cut the banner using Country Life cartridge on my Cricut. It really is fun to scrap annual traditon photos as you can really see the change each year in the kids. Love you more each day....

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and New Year's! I am trying to get back into my normal routine with family and crafting, but it has been a bit challenging! So, to start off the New Year I decided to ease into it a bit by creating a quick tag that could be used for the fast approaching Valentine's holiday. I used the gorgeous frame stamp from the Prima Wings stamp set, trimmed it out and then used some SEI Love Bird rubons and embellished it with some Prima ribbon and flowers and of course a Dew Drop. You can find all these fabulous supplies plus lots more over the Your Memories Here store. I hope you are having a wonderful Monday and thanks so much for dropping by!
