Paper Blooms Challenge #6

This week over at the Paper Blooms blog the challenge to is create something for that special woman in your life, whether she is your mom or just a very dear friend. For my project I picked up a $1 wooden bird house and decided to make it pretty for my mom for Mother's Day. She loves little things like this and if she papercrafted she's be a clean and simple kind of gal, so that's what I went with.

First I painted the house white, nice and clean looking and springy! Then I painted on some stems and grass. Then came the blooms that can be found HERE. I added a tiny rhinestone to the center of each one. For the eves I punched some pretty brown and polka dot paper with my MS punch that also embosses, gives it a little extra something in person. And what is a bird house without some birds?! I stamped my favorite birds from 2 different sets of Kim Hughes, Pretty Birds and Mocha Chia, availible at Cornish Heritage Farms.

I hope she likes it! I am very happy with how it came out and it was a fairly fast project too. Please come on over to the blog and join us, we'd love to see what you create!!
