Happy Birthday to my Daughter....

My daughter is turning one year old Tuesday and we had a little get together for her birthday yesterday. I made her this card for her baby book. I can't believe that she is a year old already! I honestly don't know where the time goes....my son is turning 3 next month, so he'll have his own card too. I plan to make them a card each year with a special note to them as keepsakes for them.

I really enjoyed making this one for my DD as it's SO girly and soft. I used paper from Imaginisce, Fairest of them All collection. The trio of flowers is from the Basic Grey stamp set, Urban Prairie. Go check out the MD store for this great line of product! I also used my new Little Gal set from Kim Hughes' line from Cornish Heritage Farms. I used an entire strip of pearls from a sheet I got at Mikes for the butterfly trail and a few more sprinkled at the bottom and in the center of the button. Some sheer ribbon and a MS border punch finished it off. I hope you are having a lovely Sunday...it's terribly windy where I am. Have a great rest of your weekend!

Gorgeous card, and wonderful keepsake! It's so hard each year they get older. My son turns 9 next month, and I was reminded that half the time I have with him in our house is over. He will most likely move on at 18, and it made me very sad to think about it. Enjoy your daughter's birthday!

Trust me I understand, my daughter will be 9 in November - I am still trying to figure out how that happened. Stunning card!

O gorgeous, so delicate! Love the way you made the flight trail with pearls - and of course Kim Hughes stamps are fab!
