I had heard of the Prismacolor pencils but just wasn't sure if I wanted to invest in them or more importantly if I'd like them. Well, I decided to try them out and WOW I really do love them. I decided to get the watercolor pencils and just love how easy they are to work with. I will be using my waterbrush alot more now. Here is the sample I did when I first got them home, stamped the images with Stazon Black Ink and colored away. Love the rich, vibarant colors these pencils produce. I'd say get them if you are on the fence, plus Mike's carries them and they aren't so bad with a 40% off coupon.
I don't usually do many masculine cards but wanted to give my dad a Valentine card this year, so this is what I came up with. The background is stamped with CTMH Rustic Flowers square (love this background!), the branch and leaves are PTI, Out On A Limb as is the sentiment. I distressed the edges of the frames and curled in two of the corners. Pretty simple but I think it will suit my dad, I hope he likes it.
This is another Valentine for someone special who loves birds. I just got this stamp at my LSS and just love it. Plus it was 40% off! I colored the leaves and birds in with some cake watercolors (This was just before I got the Prismas) and chalked the blue around the scallop circle. The scalloped circle was cut with my Cricut and the little tag with my Cuttlebug. The sentiment is from PTI, Mixed Sentiments. I just love the fact that I now have sentiments that coordinate with the mini Cuttlebug tags! The flower is from Mikes and some sheer polka dot ribbon. Paper scraps from CTMH Floral Tapestry.

This one was fun, not what I origanally set out to do but I like how it came out. The background image is a stamp from Fancy Pants, In the Garden. I stamped it in L'Amour Red Palette ink and then painted in parts with celery MM acrylic paint. I had never done this before and really like how it came out. The circle was cut with my Circut and the sentiment is from Paper Trey ink. (http://papertreyink.com) For the final touch I stickled the flowers and some dots with fruit punch and the middle of the flowers with Black Diamond.
I made this for a very dear friend. I used CTMH adorable background stamp for the base of the card and the brown rectangle. The base is stamped with a mauve color from Color Box Petal points and the brown cardstock is stamped with New Canvas from Palatte Ink. The sentiment is from PaperTrey Ink (http://papertryink.com) and the hearts are cut with my Cricut using George, two are velleum and the darker pink one is cardstock. Added some little bling rhinestones and Coffee ice stickles. Ribbon is from Walmart. :)
On this one I wanted to use alot of rub ons, so I did :) Added a few buttons and viola!
This LO did not come together easy, took me 3 or 4 days to figure it out, but I like how it came out. It's titled "Mama's Boy". Zach use to just cry and get hysterical when I showered.
His first birthday. Used chipboard letters and painted them! Also used my circle cutter.
"Fall" is cut with my Cricut from Stamped and adhered to twill tape ribbon. Used some metal tags and rub ons.
Used a metal frame I've had forever, covered the chipboard letters with paper and actually cut them out with a craft knife (big accomplishment for me!) and even though you can't tell, used paper glaze on the letters too.
Embossing is done with the Cuttlebug, vine stamp from Fancy Pants, background stamp from Mike's dollar stamps, and flowers and sentiment from Paper Trey Ink. On the middle panel I used VersaMark ink and chalked the color in. Hope you like it!
This one I used From The Garden Fancy Pants stamp and randomly stamped the card. Then I watercolored in all the flowers and buds. I stamped the butterfly twice (which is from CTMH) on vellum, sprinkled Marcasite embossing powder over it and cut them out. I layered them on top of each other with demensional foam. Adhered the ribbon and stamped the sentiment which is from Paper Trey Ink (Butterfly Kisses).
