Hot Cocoa Jars

These jars are really easy and fun to make. I bought some used mason jars, washed them and then altered them. I used alot of scrap paper I had which is always great. The snowflakes are cut with my Cuttlebug die and the ornaments are cut from the Cricut Christmas Cheer. I added some ribbon and of course some sparkle with stickles, I just love that stuff! The finished jars can be filled with anything for a gift...candy, nuts, mixes. If you do a search for jar mixes as a gift a ton of results will come up. For these I am doing Hot Cocoa Mix. I found a great recipe that tastes good and is inexpensive to mix up. Enjoy!
Hot Cocoa Mix Recipe
2 cups instant dried milk
3/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 tspn. salt
mini chocolate chips
mini marshmellows
Mix the milk, sugar, cocoa and salt in a bowl. Pour into finished jar. Add a layer of mini chocolate chips and a layer of mini marshmellows. Add a tag that says to mix 3-4 heaping spoonfuls of cocoa mix to a mug of hot water. Stir and enjoy!
