Vintage Inspired Flowers

Hello! Today I have a vintage inspired card to share with you and a few tips on how you can get this look using any floral stamps you may have. I pulled out the brand new Inspired By Stamping Flower of the Month: Pansy for my card. It's really the perfect type of image for this look!

To really get that old vintage look I stayed with sepia toned colors for my entire card. I chose browns to watercolor my flowers with and just mixed several different ones to still get color variance. It was fun to color these beautiful flowers in such subtle colors. My flowers were stamped onto a die cut using Fancy Labels 2. My sentiment is from the new Spring Bouquet set. I thought the love theme works so well with a soft vintage type card. To pull in the feel of old fabric more I stamped the background of my cream panel using the same pansy flowers but left them uncolored. A bit of distress ink, lace, sewing and pearls all add to the old shabby feel.

I hope you'll give coloring some flowers in sepia tones a try! I'd love to hear what you think and if you do try it out I'd love to stop by and see it! Have a wonderful day xoxo

Lovely card! I have struggled with shabby design, it is so easy to overdo. This is a very clean shabby look, so nice.
