Spring Birthday Banner

My sweet girl is turning 4 years old this Saturday and I have been busy making pretty little things for her party. We are having a tea party and I have made up the cutest little tea cup favors...will show you those soon :) I love having a banner hanging and wanted to make one that can be used again and isn't as specific as Happy Birthday, so I went for spring. I love how it came out and it really didn't take me too long to make. I used my Cricut for all the cuts...Art Philosophy for the banners, butterflies and birds and the leaves for the hydrangea flowers were cut using A Child's Year. They are probably my most favorite leaf cut as they look very realistic. I added lots of dew drops and some pearls and strung it up with some light yellow ribbon. My daughter loves it too, so I think it's a keeper :) I hope you like it too! Thanks for coming to visit me...our trip was good and the kids were oh so adorable, I'll have pics to share soon. hugs...

Baby cards...and I've been sick

I'm so blessed to get to sell baby cards at a local shop in town. People do buy them up pretty fast! Here are a few I made recently using Wplus9 goodies. This one is meant to be gender neutral, always my hardest ones to come up with.
 Little boy ;)
And of course, a sweet girl. The sets I used are Cuddles and Hugs and Heartfelt Mix.

I have been sick for the last few days along with 2 of the kiddos :(  Not great timing (is it ever?) as we leave for a trip down south Wed. The 2 older kids, Zach and Ayana are going to be in a wedding, so excited! and then we are seeing family and doing a few fun things as a family too. Really looking forward to it, but I thought I'd have 4 days to prepare and it's ended up being only 2, so I'm feeling a bit rushed...which I don't like. Breathing and deep and reminding myself it's okay and it's not like we are leaving civilization!  LOL  I'm such a homebody, so travelling is always a bit stressful for me. But once we get going I'll be fine :) No turning back as they say!  The blog will probably be very quiet as I haven't been up to crafting being sick and now rushing to pack and all...but don't forget about me ;)  Hugs....

Pages with Papertrey~ In My Arms

My friend Leigh, issued another Pages with Papertrey challenge, this time using a sentiment stamp on your LO. I used one of the sentiments from Love Lives Here...I adore that set. I love this picture of my and Makaio...I have one similar with each of my children and they are some of the sweetest memories. There is nothing like your baby sleeping in your arms.
Here is the sentiment along with some of the coordinating dies and stamps from Love Lives Here. I used lots of Cricut cuts too, the title from Lyrical Letters and the others from Art Philosophy.
And here is a close up of my journaling. The stitching stamp that I use so much is from CTMH. Thanks for another great challenge Leigh! Thanks for coming to visit me...it really brightens my day :)

Boxed Notecards~ Wedding gift

I am in need of a couple wedding gifts, so for one of them I decided to make a boxed set of note cards. I used the box template given by Betsy Veldman and I think it's going to be my most favorite box to make for gifts like this!
I couldn't help but use Rosie Posie for it :) And I pulled out some pretty pattern paper that I use mainly for things like this. I have no idea the style or taste of the bride, so I just did what appealed to me at the moment. Hopefully she likes it.

I kept the notecards very simple and all occasion. Here they all are. I plan to make another set like this but I think I'll use Pretty Peonies. Thanks for stopping by!

Happiness

As much as I've used Rosie Posie I had not made pattern paper with it, so on this card I did :) I also added the popular extra shading to the flowers and it does give them nice depth. I die cut and stamped Mat Stack #4 and added another die cut flower, leaves and butterfly. I hope you like it:) Thanks for visiting me!

Wildflower Garden

I finally got ahold of the PTI Wildflower Garden stamp set. I have loved this set since it was released and love how easy it is to ink up the stems seperately from the flower tops. The top card I used white embossing powder for the main blooms and then did some inking of the background. The bottom card is just CAS stamping :)  I think this set will get lots of love. Thanks for stopping by!

MIM~ Enjoy every moment

I loved the MIM technique this week, something I plan on doing a lot with all my frame stamps :) For this card I used the anniversary set, Pretty Peonies and elarged the oval frame. I love this set. It makes wonderful focal points and gorgeous pattern paper. I added Polka Dots II over the top of all the flowers and leaves to fill in some of the space and tie in the yellow in the butterfly...love how it added a lot texture. I hope you have a good weekend!
