Hello! It's my turn to host the Princess challenge. I was happy to try out this technique myself as I feel I get stuck in ruts...always doing the same thing in my creating, so this was fun for me and I hope you enjoy it too! My challenge is to use the negative space of a die cut. I used a Mat Stack for mine..do you see it there cut into the pattern paper? I first stamped my script background then layered the die cut pp on top. Just a tip, the Harvest Berries dies won't work for this technique, ask me how I know ;) So since they failed me I used the positive cut to fill in my negative space :) Can't wait to see what you come up with! hugs...

Card Patterns- Happy Birthday
I decided to find a challenge to play along with and found the current Card Patterns sketch. I was also very excited to ink up my new PTI anniversary set, Pretty Peonies. I *love* this set! Almost as much as Rosie Posie ;) I love the big "happy" and all the words you can use to complete the sentiment. This card is for one of my very dear friends who's birthday is tomorrow. I this this butterfly is going to be an all time fav for me...so pretty and easy to trim out. The border on the bottom is from a new to me punch from MM. I saw it on another card somewhere in blog land and when I was at Michaels the other day I had to have it. Thanks for stopping by!

CAS Thanks

If I had to give up all other crafty things and pick only one I could do it would be stamping. I love how many things you can do with stamps. For this card I kept it all one layer and just stamped away. The main image panel is Ashley's Blossoms from My Cute Stamps and the border is from Mehendi Medallions from Wplus9. Thanks for stopping by:)

All stamps...no patterned paper:)
I have a ton of pattern paper...and I seem to have a hard time using it. I love it, but I'd always rather stamp my own backgrounds. I need to put a dent in my stash though so maybe I'll challenge myself to use more of it. This card doesn't use any! The backgrounds are from PTI sets, Round and Round (so are the little butterflies I trimmed out) and A Little Argyle. The flowers are of course my favorite, Rosie Posie. The tag is Tag Sale #3, a Doily Detail and the Heart Border. I guess it's a fully PTI goodies card:) Hope you week is off to a good start...mine has been okay. I'm still pretty up and down emotionally but thankfully my kiddos do keep me busy. Thanks for visiting me:)

Gratitude
I've been collecting sketches from cards I see around blog land and putting them in a little book to use when I sit down to craft. It has really been helping me get out of what I feel had become a layout rut. I really like how this card turned out :) I used the new Wplus9 dies, the layered butterfly and folk art flowers. I really love that butterfly! The sentiment is from PTI's Sending You set. Hope you are having a good day!

Silhouette Thank You
Awhile back I got the Botanticals Cricut cartridge and never opened it, thus never used it! I decided to finally use it and make a simple thank you card. The flowers and sentiment were cut with it and the background I stamped using PTI's Tin Types. There are some nice cuts on this cartrige and I'm planning on playing with it more. Thanks for stopping by.

Thanks
Our family has been very blessed this week with many meals brought to us by loving friends. It has helped a lot to not have to worry about going shopping or cooking. I am making some thank you cards to give to each family that reached out to us. I used Edgers 1 for the bottom of the card and the layer and the special edition thank you set. I stamped the background using Stitches and Swirls and the button was made from the button up die cut from coaster board, stamped with a medallion and then heat embossed using ultra thick embossing powder. It gives the button a nice shine and makes it a lot more sturdy. Thanks for dropping by:)

Pink and Orange
This was the first card I made after getting the Hero Arts Delicate Blossoms stamp set. They are really lovely to color and though I am not an orange person in general, I love pink and orange with a touch of blue or aqua together. I colored the flower with Copics and some bakers twine to tie on the tiny tag.
I am hoping to get back to crafting today...it's hard to feel like doing much of anything, but I know if I do it will help in my healing. Thank you for all the kind words and thoughts.

Thankful Grieving
I don't feel like celebrating or doing much of anything, but I have to keep going on, one foot in front of the other, one whispered, choking prayer after another. I had hoped to share happy news here, but instead I only have grief. This weekend I lost the baby I was carrying for 8 weeks. I have a Drs appt. today to see what else needs to be done. I am heartbroken...heartsick. And yet....I have to keep being thankful. I have 3 amazing, beautiful children that are in my arms, an amazing, wonderful supportive husband and friends that love me. I feel waves of such thankfulness that my cross is not much bigger and tragic and then waves of deep sorrow for all that was so wanted and hoped for. I am not asking why, that question never gets answered and really isn't the point...I am just asking to accept and to joy in the blessed life I still do have. I'd so appreciate prayers if you think of me...

CAS Birthday
I have long wanted the Hero Arts Delicate Blossoms stamp set and finally found it online and ordered it. It is lovely and I love how the flowers look great colored or not. For this card I decided to go with classic black and white and added the butterflies in cream. It's hard to see, the center of each butterfly has a red rhinestone. This card took me about 5 minutes to make, love that! Thanks for stopping by:)

Friend
I gave this card to one of my dear friends today. It uses more new goodies from Wplus9. I used the Spring Tags stamp set, Folk Art Flowers stamp set (stamped background) the Folk Art Flowers die for the leaves and the fabulous layered butterfly. I love this butterfly. It has 4 layers that you can stack and it is so fluffy and lovely. For mine I used pink tissue paper, so it was very light and airy. I was delighted to find that the Spring Tags fits into the arpron lace Spellbinders die perfectly! I am really loving these sets and they make the best background papers, which I love! I hope your Valentines was sweet and full of love. I took the kids to a homeschool group Valentine party and they had so much fun. Then, for a special dinner I made waffles and scrambled eggs in heart shapes using a metal cookie cutter. The kids loved them! Thanks so much for stopping by:)

Just Because
I had a lot of fun creating this card. The paper was handstamped using some Wplus9 goodies. The little frame is from Kisses and Cuddles and the flowers and leaves are from the newest release called Folk Art Flowers. The wonderful die cuts of the leaves, bird and birdhouse are from the release as well, they are so sweet. I added a PTI doily, some buttons and twine and decided to leave a sentiment off so it could be used for whatever I need. I hope you like it :) Thanks for stopping by!

Sending you Sunshine
I only have 2 of the Flower Fusion sets from PTI, but I love them both and decided to finally play a bit with them. I love having the dies for them too :) I used an edgers die also, love these! Pretty straight forward card today...hoping your day is filled with sunshine! (even if the sun isn't actually shining;)

Love
A simple Valentine card for a dear friend. I stamped the Tag it's #12 for my patterned paper (from pti) and added a strip of ribbon, a bow and a button with a flower along with a Tiny Tag and sentiment. I love those tiny tags, such a used set for me :) I am anxiously awaiting my Amber core kit from Project Life to get here...I love doing the PL pages but really dislike trying to match all the tags and fillers. It will be easy to add some extras to the already designed kit. I'm hoping it comes this week. Hope your week is off to a good start. hugs...

Pages with Papertrey~ Delight
Leigh issued another challenge and I really loved this one...use stamping to create your own pattern paper. My entire LO is stamped, not a shred of patterned paper on it :) It's also one layer except for the frame. I really love how it came out and for me it totally captured the feeling I wanted for this sweet pic of my DD. I used lots of different stamps on this which was also great! The only PTI stamp used was on the frame from Mat Stack 5. The other stamps are from Fancy Pants, Basic Grey and CHF. Thanks for stopping by...you all make me smile:)

Bundle of Love
Been making some baby cards again :) For this one I used the BB-Hearts from Wplus9 for my background and then the Sending You die and a few stamps for my focal point. The sentiment is from the PTI Bundle of Love set.
My parents got home safely yesterday and are adjusting to a quiter house now that they only have 1 dog. This week has been more calm and for that I am very thankful! Hope you week is going well...thanks for stopping by, I appreciate you so much!
