Sneak Peek....

Hello! I hope you had a very blessed Thanksgiving. I am in full move mode right now and am begging internet use from my parents as all our utilites switch over...so my posts will be very sparse for a bit:) But I do have a fun Sweet 'n Sassy stamps digi sneak peek for you! This adorable little bear (is it okay to say that even though I drew him??) will be available Dec. 1st and is called Snowflake Bear. For my snowflake mat I used the gorgeous Winter Lace cricut cartridge from Scrapbook Pal. I colored my bear with Copics and then went over her again with a couple of prismacolor pencils to give the feel of fur. I hope you are having a wonderful long weekend...hugs.

It's Moving Time!

I was thrilled to find this adorable house image and tag on the Joys of the Season Christmas cartridge because they are perfect for making some new address tags and a thank you card for my upcoming move to our new home we are buying! It's wonderful when a very Christmasy cartridge can become so versatile by just changing out colors. Here's how I made my two projects.
Thank You CARD:
Cut the home image on page 50 of the Joys of the Season Cricut cartridge. Cut the image at 4 1/2" and again 3 more times with the layer keys selected changing out the color of cardstock to build your scene.
Emboss the trees and grass with the Victoria embossing folder and your Cuttlebug.
Cut a piece of yellow cardstock 2"x2 1/2" to place behind the house for the feel of light from the house.
Adhere everything together.
Add glossy accents to the windows to give them some shine.
Use a red Sakura gelly roll glaze pen to highlight the shingles on the roof.
Stamp your sentiment.
TAGS:
Cut the tag on page 80 at 4 1/2" from patterned paper.
Cut the tag on page 50 at 4 1/2" from solid cardstock.
Adhere tags together, stamp sentiment and write in new address to give to friends and family members.
We will be getting the keys to our new home tomorrow! So excited:) Thanks for visiting.

Lead me....

Just popping in the share this card I made for the SCS sketch this week. I used two Sweet 'n Sassy sets, Wait on the Lord and Chrysanthemum. It was fun to color with my Copics directly onto the green cardstock to give a more subtle look. Well, I wanted to let all my lovely readers know that my blog will be getting a bit quieter for the next couple of weeks as we are moving into our new home very soon! I'll still have some scheduled posts so it won't be totally desolate:) We close on our new home next Wed. and will be in full move mode right during Thanksgiving. We have lots to be thankful for and I'm sure you do to! Big hugs to you all!!

Winter Silhouette Scene

Hello! Hope you have had a good week:) My card today is pretty simple, but I love making scenes and the Silhouette Snowflakes and Forest Silhouettes stamp sets from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps work gorgeously together! I thought I'd make a more winter themed birthday card as there are many people that have birthdays when it's cold;) For my trees I stamped them with full ink first and then second generation stamped them to create some depth. For my snowflakes I outlined them with a glitter gelly roll pen and to create the feeling of snow drifts I added some random stitching to the bottom. I hope you are staying warm! Hugs....

TT#25- Inchies

Hello! This week's challenge over at the Tuesday Throwdown blog is to use inchies in your creation. We are sponsored again by Catherine Pooler who is a SU! demo and I got to use these fabulous products again:) I chose this sweet little bird image and framed my inchies with lots of scalloped squares. I also random stamped the pattern on the base using Versamark with another inchie sized stamp. I hope you'll play along with us this week! Thanks for stopping by:)

Mom and Me

Happy Monday to you all! I have such a hard time getting good pics of my LO's...especially if the paper is a bit shimmery, any tips? I really enjoyed making this LO of my mom and I. It's a picure of us years ago when we were doing a dance performance. Mom and I have danced together for practically my whole life:) The paper is some pretty shimmery SEI and the flowers and trim are Prima. I just love those roses! I also sprinkled some Dew drops around and the butterflies were stamped and trimmed out from the Prima Wings set. Be sure to hop on over to the Your Memories Here store to see all the new goodies! Have a wonderful day:)

Christmas Wreath

I was so excited to get the Joys of the Season Cricut cartridge this month from Scrapbook Pal. It is a beautiful Christmas cartridge with tons of cuts for endless projects. I decided to make a wreath using the Poinsetta and Holly cuts. Here are the directions:

Cut the poinsetta on page 69, 3 times out of green cardstock at 3". Cut again 3 times out of red cardstock with the layer feature on at 3". Cut one last time in pink cardstock with the layer feature on at 1 1/2", 3 times.

*If you have heavy cardstock use that, but if not just cut your lighter cardstock multiple times and adhere layers together until you get desired thickness.*

Cut the Holly on page 69, 3 times out of dark green cardstock at 2". I did the reinforced method to build up my lighter cardstock for the holly, worked great!

Before assembling, with Swiss Dots embossing folder emboss the green layer of the poinsetta. Adhere all layers together, add rhinestones and pearls and adhere to your wreath base. Attach bird. Hang, and enjoy!

For Love...Will you help?

Hello my dear blog readers! I have something that I would like to finally share with you all that is very personal. Above are my two little miracles, I know you've seen pics of them before in LO's and such:) Well, I have some wonderful news to share with you all...we are in the middle of a second Ethiopian adoption!! We have been in the process for almost a year now and the next big step we are waiting for is to be matched to our little baby boy. We don't know when that will happen, it could be any day for the phone to ring saying they have found our lil' bean.

In the midst of this waiting and anticipation for our new baby, we have just recently been dealing with having to find a new home. The house we have been in for the past 2 1/2 years we were hoping to buy, but when the appraised value came back much lower than what the owner wanted, they backed out of our deal...so we are house hunting. It's all been pretty stressful to be honest!

For any of you at all familar with adoption it is a very costly endevour, and our costs are going to be even more magnifed now that we will be moving in the near future as well. So, I wanted to not only share some of our story, but ask for your help if you so feel led. We have opened up an online coffee shop that sells fair trade Ethiopian coffee and some other fun products that will help us fundraise some extra money to get our little boy home. For every bag of coffee that is purchased, we will get $5. If you would like to help us we'd be so very grateful, and please feel free to pass our site on to all your friends and family too! Thank you so much for your support:) Click HERE to go to our coffee shop.

TT24-Let Us Give Thanks

Welcome to another Tuesday Throwdown:) Thanksgiving is always in order, all year round, but it is nice this time of year to really turn our hearts and minds toward being intentionally thankful. That's this week's challenge, make a card that incorporates thanksgiving! You'll want to be sure to play along with us as Sweet 'n Sassy stamps is the sponsor and we are giving away a few great digis! I colored my Fall Arrangement with Copics and added some faux stitching and sponging and a few buttons to finish my simple card. I hope you remember to be thankful today, and thank you for coming to visit me:)
