Scrapbook Pal Design Team Entry

I really enjoyed creating this LO of my daughter. I am so thankful to have a girl and can be so pink and frilly:) Scrapbook Pal is having a DT call and I decided to try for it. I used several Cricut cartridges for all my embellishments and title. I also used a Cuttlebug embossing folder on my butterflies, Damask.
For my title I cut the word Adore using Home Decor at 1 3/4". I then lightly inked it in creamy brown chalk ink. The big fancy corner was cut twice and layered using the Storybook cartridge, once at 2 1/2" and then again at 4". My butterflies were also cut twice for each one, once out of cardstock and the bottom layer out of vellum. I used the Sentimental cartridge for these and cut them at 1", 1 1/2", 1 1/4" and 2". My flowers were cut using Home Decor (flwr5-s) at 2 ", 2 1/2" and 3" each flower cut several times for layering and then scrunched and finished with a pearl brad. My leaves were cut using A Child's Year at 1 1/2" and 2". I only adhered them at the base of the leaf and then scrunched them for more dimention. I added stitching, lots of self-adhesive pearls and some lace that was my grandmother's.
I hope you like it! I really hope I get on the team, so wish me luck:) Thanks so much for dropping by!

Little Squirt

Happy Thursday to you! I have a cute little baby card to share with you today. I make a lot of baby cards and love using all sorts of images for them. For this one I actually did some paper piecing for my whale image available at Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps. The sentiment I computer generated to be on the base of my image panel. We use to call my son "little squirt" and those of you that have boys know why! LOL The rest is pretty self-explanitory...I just love this color combo and I hope you do to! Thanks so much for dropping by!

Home...

I have been wanting to use this sentiment for a long time and was so happy to ink it up for this week's challenge over at The Shabby Tea Room. They are on the 7th challenge and it's "Comforts of Home". For my card I tried to embody what "home" is to me, and it's mainly a place of beauty and love. I have also had a renewed love for my Cricut lately and used it for the heart and little house cuts. Don't forget you can cut pattern paper with your Cricut, not just cardstock! Makes a huge difference I tell 'ya! *lol* The bow is some PTI ribbon along with one of my crocheted flowers and a little paper rose bud I also made. I did some stitching, piercing, inking and added just a bit of sparkle to finish it off. I love my home and am so thankful that I have been blessed with one that is full of beauty and love. Thanks so much for dropping by and leaving your sweet comments, they really do bring a smile to my face and heart.

PTI Princesses Challenge- Something NEW!

I have finally found time to play along with the PTI Princesses blogging group I'm a part of and this last challenge was issued by the ever talented Bethie J! She commissioned us to create something "new" in honor of spring...so I chose to use new products, namely stamps:) I played with my new Blooming Button Bits set and really love this set. I stamped the flowers (which are from With Sympathy) directly onto my pattern paper and colored them in with my Prisma color pencils. For my border I used the largest leaf in the Blooming Button set and trimmed it out, love the look of it with the stiched border and how you can make it any color you wish. I also stamped over a couple of the leaves with the smaller single leaf to give more depth and detail to the focal image. I hope you like how it came out:)

Little Prince

Good morning! I found some other baby pictures of my son to scrap:) So nice to re-visit his baby years as we just celebrated his 4th birthday! I used another cutie Snag 'em Stamp that you can get at the Your Memories Here for just $0.75! I added some extra depth to him by coloring him a bit with Copics and gave him a little glittery belly. I also used some bitty Prima flowers and some silver Dew Drops. My Cricut cut my title using Lyrical Letters and the journaling mat is from Storybook. I hope you are having a great day and thanks so much for dropping by!

Simple Joys

What a crazy week! This sentiment is so fitting too, remembering the little joys that I did have this week despite being sick, very busy, and not being able to rest much. A couple of my simple joys this week was taking my son out for a birthday lunch and spending a lunch out with my mom and the kids today at a lovely new bakery/deli that had the most wonderful bread, soup and chocolate cake! Oh yes, chocolate will make any hard week better:)

So, about my card now;) I used one of my newer images, Rainbow Bird from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps and some fun patterned paper and sparkly brads to create the simple card. Copics were used to color and a few Primas finished it off.

My busy week continues this weekend as I've got an event to go to tomorrow and my son's birthday part on Sunday. More joys to come! Hugs to you all...

Hello Friend (and a little toot)

Thank you for your prayers, they have been felt and very appreciated. :)
Did you notice that fun badge at the top of my post? I was so excited and honored to find out that my butterfly card from last week was chosen as one of the top 3 over at The Shabby Tea Room! If you haven't played along you should go check it out:)
I so enjoyed making this card and finally inked up a Kim Hughes set from Cornish Heritage Farms I haven't gotten around to using yet to make my focal panel. The sketch is from the challlenge this week over at The Shabby Tea Room and I really loved it's linear design. The paper is some BG I've neglected lately too, so that felt good actually using some hoarded supplies;) Thanks so much again for your positive thoughts and prayers, I appreciate you all so much!

MIA

Hi everyone, just wanted to pop in quick and let you know that I hopefully will be back to normal posting tomorrow. What a week I've had already! I came down with the stomach flu, having some severe allergies and on top of all that haven't even been home the last 4 days much! I am feeling a bit better today and hope to get back to my crafting time....if you have a moment say a prayer for me would you? Thanks so much, hugs:)

Measuring Up!

I personally don't scrap in cronological order, I just scrap the pictures and moments that speak to me at the time, so it was fun finally putting these pictures together from when my son was first home. He is now almost 4! I used a super cute bird Snag 'em Stamp that you can get for just $.75! I paper pieced him and embossed his belly with the Cuttlebug Swiss Dots folder. I also used some fun Primas, Pebbles ribbon and white Dew Drops. All these great supplies can be purchased at Your Memories Here. My title was cut with my Cricut using All Mixed Up. I hope you are having a great Monday, thanks so much for stopping by:)

Cutie Pie

A quick share today using PTI's Baby Button Bits set. I must say I do love this little cupcake, it is just so sweet and super easy to paper piece. I added some stamping in Versamark for a nice tone on tone affect with the heart border stamp from a CTMH set. Stitching and pearls finish it off. Hope you have a wonderful weekend! I am hoping to get lots of crafting time in:)

A Butterfly for Mom

I love butterflies and so when I found this butterfly cut on the Sentimentals Cricut cartridge I had to have it. Isn't it gorgeous? I love that it can be plain too. I played along again over at the Shabby Tea Room and this week's challenge was to use squares. So I chose a card cut also off the Sentimentals cart that was squarish, (cut at 5") and used my Nesties to cut the patterned paper squares my butterfly is mounted on. I then stiched each square to my base paper with my sewing machine. The top layer of the butterfly wings was embossed with my Damask Cuttlebug folder and to finish it I added some Prima bitty roses, pearls and distress ink. I hope you are having a wonderful day and don't forget to be thankful for something! Hugs...

Die Cut Fun

I just recently got the new Cricut cart, Create a Critter and I must say this is the most adorable and easy to use cartridge to date! I LOVE all the adorable cuts on it and I haven't even cut nearly half of what's on it. Both cards use all cuts from the cart...I hope you like them too!

Is it Spring yet?

I am so ready for it to really be spring, but we are still not having nice weather :( At least I can craft with springy things. My card today uses the adorable Cocoa mouse from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps, Peek -a - boo Cocoa. I decided to leave the sentiment off as the image is cute enough all by itself. I used Copics to color the image, added stitching and dry embossing and a bow. I hope you are having nicer weather where you are! Thanks so much for stopping by:)

Cutie!

Good morning to you all! Sorry I'm late posting today, had unexpected company this weekend and had no crafting time. I just got my hands on the new Cricut cartridge, Create a Critter and LOVE it! The little animals are so adorable and are just perfect for all the baby cards I make. I used some other great products from Your Memories Here, Primas, Dew Drops and a cute little Snag'em Stamp for my tag for my sentiment. I hope you had a great weekend and thanks so much for visiting!

Shine

I am so excited to share this card with you today! When I first saw these two new digi sets, Fly a Kite and Sunshine this little scene popped into my head. I rarely make scene cards so I really enjoyed this one:) I colored all my images with Copics before trimming them out and for my hills I drew the curve I wanted on the back of my cardstock and tore it, embossed it and then distressed the edges a bit more once they were adhered. I hope this brightens your day a bit and don't forget that if you are looking to the SON you won't see the shadows. Blessings!

Purrfect Friend

My card today uses a brand new digi from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps called Purrfect Friend. Isn't this kitty sweet? I have 2 kitties myself and have always been a cat lover, and my daughter is the same way already! She has this little stuffed kitty her great-grandma gave her and she has to have it to go to sleep with, so cute:) I decided to do some stitching with embrodiery floss to bring in a bit of the whole yarn/cat thing;) Kitty is colored with Copics and again this design is kept flat since it's being mailed off to a very dear friend who also loves cats. Hope you are having a purrfect day! Thanks so much for dropping by, means the world to me:)

This Moment...

I love this quote...a good reminder to always try to be present, in the good and bad because our life is orchastrated with our best intrest in mind.

I joined along over at The Shabby Tea Room where the challenge this week is "to embrace white". I chose a soft pink as my subtle color and then used cream, ivory and white as my dominant colors. I used one of my birth flowers, June Rose, from Sweet ' n Sassy Stamps for my focal image and used very pale Copic colors to color it. On the card base I stamped a backgrounder from CHF, and heat embossed it with white embossing powder. Love the subtle texture and color it added. I hope you are having a wonderful day, and don't forget to remember all your blessings! Thanks so much for visiting me:)

Sweet 'n Sassy Birthday Blog HOP!

I hope you all enjoyed a joyous Easter weekend:) Mine was great, lots of time spent with family.
Today we are having a fun Birthday blog hop! It's Korin's birthday today, (the owner of Sweet 'n Sassy) so come help us celebrate her special day! The image I chose to use is called Spring Mailbox and you have a chance to win your very own digi of it by leaving me a comment! I will randomly pick one person tomorrow to win it:) Be sure to visit the rest of the DT as each of us are giving away a free digi, so you have lots of chances to win some free images just by commenting. And don't forget to visit the Sweet 'n Sassy Digi blog too, there is a today only freebie you won't want to miss:)

I had fun making a different size card than usual, this one measures 3"x8". I also enjoyed making a pretty little tissue flower. I used a small scallop Nestie to cut 6 scalloped circles out of tissue paper and just glued and bunched them together adding a button to the middle. Easy and it's so sweet, if I do say so myself. I colored my image with Copics and the paper is from K&Co. I hope you enjoyed your stop here and don't forget to leave me a comment for your chance to win:) Happy Hopping!
So sorry the link weren't working! They are fixed now:)

Just A Table

I am always amazed at how kids find the most ordinary, mundane things, especially when they are new to them, facinating. These are pics that were taken right after we bought this table, the kids were thrilled! For my fun, bright paper I used some new SEI, Mimosa, Bitty Primas and of course, my standby, Dew Drops. For my title I used my Cricut and Lyrical Letters and for my little bird used my new Stamping cartridge:) I hope you had a wonderful Easter! Thanks so much for stopping by.
