Rainbows

Good Wednesday to you! I hope you are having a good day. I have a new image to share with you today, one of my illustrations from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps called Rainbow Scene. I have a friend that wanted a Mother's Day card for her daughter that likes rainbows and this image was born:) I had to look up the correct order of colors because I wanted it to be accurate, so I believe it is;) I colored the image with Copics. Again, I kept it flat for mailing, but love adding the embossing and stitching so it still has texture and interest. I hope you like it! Thank you so much for all your sweet comments, they really do brighten my day:)

For my card I used the largest butterfly and colored it with Copics to match my Mind's Eye paper. Isn't that paper gorgeous? I added the sweet little sentiment, some ribbon and called it good:) The card was cut using my Cricut and Sentimentals cartridge. Love the scallops. I used an 1/8" hole punch for the tiny holes.

Be sure to visit the rest of the team (on my sidebar) to see what they did with the new release and hop on over to the Sherrod Studio blog too:)

Hope you are having a fabulous day! Thanks for fluttering by!

Tuesday Throwdown-Rock 'n Roll

No silly, not the rock 'n roll band kind...the ink kind! That's this week's Sherrod Studio challenge, to use the rock and roll technique. Such a fun, but pretty technique to do. I inked up one of the large blossoms from the Friendship Blossom set in 2 complimentary colors of ink and stamped it. Then I added some piercing around the flower to help it pop. The flower in the middle is one of my crocheted flowers with a sewn on button to finish it. I hope you'll hop on over to the Sherrod Studio blog to see the other DT's cards and check out the Sherrod Studio store too:) Thanks so much for dropping by!

Paper Pieced Die Cuts

Good Monday to you:) My card today was the result of playing around with paper piecing some die cut images. It is a bit tedious and you end up cutting the same cut multiple times, but I think the results are fun and worth the time. This is a pretty simple card using A Child's Year cartridge that I paper pieced together. I would recommend when doing this technique and there is a skin tone color you need, to cut that as your base and build the rest around that. I used some products that you can find for a great price at Your Memories Here. The wonderful Swiss Dots embossing folder, a Prima flower and of course the Cricut cartridge. I hope you like it!

Be sure to stop by the Sweet 'n Sassy shop to see what' s new! Thanks so much for dropping by:)

TT, Pocket Card

Today's Tuesday Throwdown challenge is to make a pocket card. I am sure there are many ways you could do this, but for mine I cut a slit in the middle section of my main panel of paper with a craft knife and made a the tag that slips in the now made pocket. I used the Friendship Blossoms set and some MS punched butterflies. I hope you take a look at the other DT creations at the Sherrod Studio blog and maybe do some shopping at the Sherrod Studio store. Mommy is my name

I so enjoyed creating this LO. I used lots of fun and pretty products on this LO, many that can be purchased at Your Memories Here. The Cricut cartridges I used were the spring mini, Mother's Day and Lyrical Letters and Home Decor. I also used my favorite Dew Drops and some Prima flowers. To add some extra texture I used the Swiss Dots and Damask embossing folders.

The paper is some of the prettiest I have ever seen and I am proud of myself for actually using it and not just hoarding it;) It's a piece from the DCWV Mariposa stack. All I can say is if you love butterflies and vintage colors you will adore this paper as much as I do. It was lovely to scrap a recent pic of me with my kids, don't you notice once you have kids you are never in any of the pictures?! I really enjoyed journaling about what the name "mommy" means to me and was reminded all over again how incredibly thankful I am that I get to be a mom. I hope you have a wonderful day, and thank you so much for your comments, they truly do brighten my day!

Pink and Yellow

Want to get yourself a couple of free digis? Then head on over to the SNR Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps group and play along with us. The challenge this week is to use pink and yellow. The image I chose to use is one of the ones you'll get free for playing with us:) I colored mine up with my Copics and added lots of embossing and sewing. See the pink panel? I embossed that by making my own "folder" from a Cricut cut off Lyrical Letters. SO neat that you can do this. I hope your day is wonderful!

The Chair

Over at the Page Maps Blog there is a contest going on, so I decided to play along. I love the sketches from Becky Fleck so much, I am always inspired by them. This is my LO based on the sketch for this contest. We had just bought this sweet little chair for my daughter and I caught her reading a book on it all by herself, so sweet:) I used Lyrical Letters and Home Decor, Home Accents and Damask embossing folder. You can find these great supplies at Your Memories Here. The paper is from K&Co. and the flowers are silk hydrangeas from Mikes. I love to hear what you think, thanks so much!
