Sweet 'n Sassy October Release Blog Hop!!

I am excited to share with you my sample for one of two fabulous stamp sets being released today at Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps! The set I am showcasing is a super fun, versatile set called Baked With Love. For my card I thought an apron shape would be super cute so I hand drew the template for the card base and the heart pockets to tuck my oven mitt and rolling pin in. The sentiment across the bottom is from the set too! There are lots more images and sentiments in this set, so be sure to check it out at the SNSS store. Now how about some fun?

There is a scavenger hunt going on with all the DT blogs so here is your next ingredient:

Underwater Happy Birthday

For this fun birthday card I used Kim Hughes set, Ocean Friends available at Cornish Heritage Farms. I stamped the background directly on to the card base and cut out the crab, shark and fish after coloring them with Copics. I sponged some blue ink for the watery feel.

I am working on an exciting new adventure that I am bursting to tell you about soon. And for this week a fun Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps blog hop is happening on Thursday, October 1st when 2 new sets will be released, so be sure to join me that day:) Thanks so much for stopping by!

For this sweet, feminine birthday card I pulled out a set that hasn't seen ink in quite some time, PTI's Women of Life. I do love these flowers and how fast they make such a pretty card. I added some Dew Drops and embossing, both supplies can be found at Your Memories Here.

I hope you have a good day and thank you so much for dropping by!

Clear Dollar Weekend Color Challenge

I have been wanting to join in for quite sometime for the Clear Dollar Color Challenge and this is the perfect week as my online friend, Cassie, is hosting:) The colors to use were mint green, soft yellow, brown, reddish/orange, and white or vanilla. If you go to the Paper Crafts Planet group you can see what SU! colors those are, but since I don't have any SU! I had to improvise:)

I used a set called Bloomin' Fun and a little tag set that were RAKed to me by another great online friend, Christi. I colored the flower and butterfly with Copics and for the flower head stamped twice so I could pop it up. I added embossing, brads and some glitter pen. I hope you like it and I sure had a lot of fun creating it!

Supplies:
Stamps: Bloomin' Fun, Tag, CDS
Ink: Black Tuxedo Memento
Tools: Swiss Dots, Stylized Flowers, Cuttlebug, EK Success corner punch, Labels 5 Nestibilites, EK Success threading water punch
Other: Brads, Recollections, Copics, Glitter gelly roll in gold

Playing in the Leaves

I just adore this image, if it doesn't make you smile I don't know what will! The image is Charlie Autumn from Clear Dollar Stamps and it was a lot of fun to color. For the little tag I inked up just the layer of leaves Charlie is on and stamped it on my tag, top and bottom, for perfect coordination! Do you have a fun weekend planned? I don't think we're up to much, hubby is in wood gathering mode to gear up for the cold weather. I do love having a wood burning stove and having an under $20 a month gas bill! *lol* Thanks for dropping by:)

Change

Change is definitely in the air where I live! The winds have picked up and it has gotten downright chilly at night. This card uses the beautiful set from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps, Autumn Blessings. I haven't used my VeraMark ink pad in ages, kind of forgot about it;) So I pulled it out to stamp the leaves on the blue, subtle but still really shows up. The circles have the same leaf stamped on them with a combination of 3 inks. I hope you are having a pleasant autumn day...it's almost Friday:)

Supplies:
Stamps: Autumn Blessings, Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps
Ink: VersaMark, Lemon Tart, Summer Sunrise, Palette, Rust, Adirondack

'Til the End

Happy Wednesday to you! I am finally really feeling better today, though I've still got a pesky cough...thank you for all your well wishes:)

Today's card uses the Friendship Blossoms set from Sherrod Studio. I just randomly stamped the flowers in some autumnal colors and added some tiny rhinestones. See the pretty swirly tabs on either side? More new Spellbinders, these are from the Fancy Tags set. They are more versatile than just for tags. Added some polka dots to the back mat and finished with some stitching.

I hope you have a great day and thank you so much for visiting me:)

Supplies:
Stamps: Friendship Blossoms, Sherrod Studio, Polka Dots, TPC Studio

Sherrod Studio Release Day!

Hope you are having a wonderful Saturday! Today is the release day for Sherrod Studio! I have a final card to share with you using 2 of the 4 new sets that will be released. For this design I used Tropical Holiday and Christmas Greetings. This image is not my usual style but it was fun to work with and color and I just love those dolphins! I made the sentiment a bit wavy to go along with the movement of the image by bending it a bit on my block, a great thing about acrylic stamps. The image was colored with Copics and I added some Stickles for some shimmery fun. The 3 trees were stamped and trimmed out and to finish it off I added some inking, rhinestones and ribbon and twine. As pretty as a white Christmas is I'd really rather be at the beach! ;)

Be sure to drop by Kelli's blog and the rest of the DT to see what they've created. And if you'd like a chance at winning some free stamps of your own be sure to visit and leave a comment on the Sherrod Studio blog. Thanks so much for coming by!

Sherrod Studio Sneaky Peeky 2

This card features one of the new 4 sets from Sherrod Studio that will be releasing on Saturday the 19th. My tree images and sentiment come from this set called Christmas Greetings. This is a very versatile, more traditional set and I love it:) The pretty holly image comes from the set I previewed yesterday, Tropical Holiday.

I repeatedly stamped the holly image and then colored it in with Copics. The trees were stamped in 3 different shades of ink, trimmed out and the middle one popped up on a pop dot. I added some machine stitching and and embossed border at the bottom.

Be sure to stop by the Sherrod Studio blog and leave a comment for a chance to win some free stamps and stop by Kelli's blog, a talented illustrator who designed one of the sets releasing. Take a peek at what the rest of the DT came up with too. Thanks so much for dropping by!

Sherrod Studio Sneak Peeks Begin!

Good morning! Today I have a sneak peek to share with you as Sherrod Studio gets ready to release 4 new sets this Saturday the 19th!

My card features one of the fun images in the set called Tropical Holiday. I must say I love this image and the sentiment. I grew up in Hawaii and celebrated many tropical Christmas' there. Where I was it obviously didn't snow, but it did rain almost every Christmas!

I colored my palm tree with Copics and added some Stickles for some extra bling. The die cut was cut using my Cricut and Storybook. To help along the tropical feel I added some Prima flowers and bits of ribbon and some tiny brads. Hope you've enjoyed this peek, be sure to stop by tomorrow as I have more to share:)

Go take a look at the rest of the DT's creations and also stop by Kelli's blog, she is a very talented illustrator and designed one of the sets releasing.

Be sure to also stop by and leave a comment on the Sherrod Studio BLOG. There will be free stamps up for grabs:)

Autumn Stroll Blog Hop! with Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps

Welcome to the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps Autumn Stroll blog hop! If you didn't start at the Sweet 'n Sassy blog, hop back over there after you are done looking here:)

For my project I wanted to do something else besides a card, so I made this mini accordion file. I wish I could come up with templates but I have no talent for that, so if you'd like the instructions I used go HERE. If I figured it out I am sure you can too!

For my embellishing on the front I used the gorgeous Autumn Blessings set and colored my leaves and acorn with Copics. I added some punched borders, dew drops and PTI ribbon. In thinking about using it as a gift I thought about what I could tuck into the six pockets and decided on individually wrapped tea bags. Perfect for the cooling weather. To coordinate the tea bags with my pretty holder I inked up one of leaves with two different colors of ink and stamped directly onto the bag. I love the look and how you can still read what the tea bag says. I hope you have enjoyed my little project :) Your next stop today is Teresa.

Be sure to check out the rest of the hop for the next two days, the entire list with links is at the top of my right sidebar. Thanks so much for joining me! And be sure to scroll down to see a card I made using Autumn Blessings and this week's The Sweet Stop Sketch.

Family LO

This was one of the first pics of us as a family of 3. I can't believe how little my boy was...he is now a big 3 year old! For those of you that don't know my son is from Ethiopia and we adopted him in 2006. He was 4 months old and tiny...he is the light of my life, along with his sister:)

I used lots of pretty Dew Drops that you can find at Your Memories Here and layered on some stamping for the background. The title was cut with my Cricut using Opposites Attract. The other cart used was Home Decor. Cricut carts and accessories are also availible through Krisitina at Your Memories Here.

I hope you are having a good Tuesday. I'm off to make some tortillas (let me know if you want the recipe!) and tomorrow starts the Sweet 'n Sassy blog hop! Lots coming up this week. Thanks so much for dropping by, it really does mean so much!

Supplies:
Stamps: Cornish Heritage Farms, Vintage Ledger, Beautiful

New Goodies

I got some yummy new Cuttlebug goodies from Your Memories Here and had to play right away. This card took me all of 10 min! The Cuttlebug set I used is the Damask Frame Combo, go order yours HERE. While playing I discovered the the oval damask piece coordinates perfectly with the small classic oval Nestiblities! So it's a breeze to back the die cut with whatever color card stock you want!

I also got some new to me adhesive, Zip Dry by Beacon. I got it at my local Michaels and here is what I think about it. Overall it is a great adhesive, holds all types of embellies firmly to your paper including metal and it is true that it does not wrinkle your paper, which is fabulous!

The two things I really dislike about it are, it has a definte odor and it "threads". You know, like when you use a hot glue gun and as you pull the gun away it pulls threads of the glue out and can be quite messy?! This glue does do that, though not to extent of a hot glue gun and it's not hot, so it's not too bad. The redeeming thing about it even with the glue threads it is super easy to clean up! Literally just rub off any excess or use an adhesive remover and it comes off without ripping or leaving your paper dirty.

So overall I really like this adhesive and would recommend it as a great liquid adhesive to have.

Thanks so much for dropping by:) Later this week starting Thursday I have some sneak peeks from Sherrod Studio to share ;)

Supplies:
Stamps: Sentiment, Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps, Autumn Blessings

Seek...

A simple card today using a stamp that hasn't seen much ink but one I love. It's a Snag'em Stamp that you can find at Your Memories Here for $1! I stamped the image 3 times, added a bit of Copic color and cut out and popped up the middle tree. I don't often stamp the focal images on colored cardstock, but it gives it a fun look, have to remember to do that more. Hope you are having a great Thursday! Thanks so much for stopping by:)

SSS20- Chin Up!

This week's Sweet Stop sketch was a lot of fun! I used one of the newer Sweet 'n Sasssy Digital Stamps for my image and sentiment, Sunny Squirrel. I printed the image twice so I could cut out and pop up the sunflower to give it more dimension and just cut apart the sentiment into strips. If you have Microsoft Word like I do resizing digital images is super easy. You can make them as big or small as you'd like and you just load what cardstock you want to print on into your printer and hit print! Easy! I hope you are having a sunshiny day!

Supplies:
Stamps: Sunny Squirrel, SNSS digital stamp
Tools: MS punch, EK Success punch, sewing maching, classic oval and label 1 nestie, EK Success photo corner punch

The bees and sentiment are from the set also. I actually like how it came out and I think this image lends itself well to not being colored. Hope you like it too:)

A little Different

How about a LO to share with you all today? Haven't done one is quite some time and it really feels good to go back to preserving those special photos, little snippets in time that fly by way to fast! For this LO I used my Cricut and Lyrical Letters. I love this cart. I think it may be my overall favorite font cart. The flourish was cut from Home Decor as was the butterfly and the big circle mat was cut using George. I of course had to add stamping! I am finding that it is a lot of fun to incorporate stamping into my LO's and not just cards. The border was stamped with an apron lace border stamp and the circle was stamped using French Script backgrounder from Cornish Heritage Farms.

For great Cricut products and other fun embellies be sure to drop by Your Memories Here. Kristina has great prices and right now everything is an additional 10% off when you use the code, Big_Event! Thanks so much for visiting me today!

Stamps: Border apron lace (forget from who!) French Script backgrounder, CHF

SSS19- Every Season

Today's card is based on The Sweet Stop's sketch. Be sure to hop on over and see the other DT takes and play along:) I used a few sets for this card all from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps. The tree is from Doodle Birds, the little birds are from Silhouette Dreams and the sentiment is from Encouragement Scripture. The pretty crocheted flower is from Paper Blooms. As the season's are starting to change from summer to fall it's always a good time reflect and pursue making those changes, little or big, that you've been wanting to. I've been working on changing my time management during normal days for me. Seems I can let a whole day go by without getting much accomplished and I know it's something worth changing since it will benefit myself and my family. What are wanting to change? Thanks so much for dropping by! I so appreciate your visit.

Supplies:
Stamps: Doodle Birds, Silhouette Dreams, Encouragement Scripture, SNSS
Tools: Stylized flower embossing folder, Cuttlebug, Netibilities, sewing machine, MS border punch
