Little Lady Turns 4

My niece turned 4 this past weekend, so I made her a birthday card. Her mom is my sister-inlaw who is married to one of the 5 brothers in the family. I'm married to the oldest. There is one other brother that is married with two kids also, but so far there are only 2 girls, my niece and my daughter. It was so much fun to make a girly card for her:)

The lady bug is popped up on demensional foam and the large flower petals are bent a bit to give some demension. ***A tip: When cutting out a stamped image that has fine detail like the antenna, stamp the antenna (or tail or whatever it is) on your base paper and adhere the rest of the cut out image on top so that it regains it's lost part)*** I did some masking to get the dotted line underneath the Happy Birthday. Other than that it's pretty self-explainatory.

I hope my niece liked the card, it wasn't really looked at during the gift opening, but hey, she's 4!

Supplies:

Stamps: PTI, Flowers
Paper and Ribbon, PTI
Ink: PTI, Versafine Black
Buttons, ribbion slot punch

Been Busy

It's been awhile since I've gotten around to posting on here....been busy. The first thing was I made a dozen baby shower cards for a local shop to sell, she paid me outright for them and it is exciting to have them in a store for sale. It's been just over a week that I delivered them and I haven't heard yet if they are selling well or not. I hope they do. The other project I've been busy on is a design team call for CHF. I ordered a beautiful Thomas Kinkade image and have been working alot on coloring it to the best of my ablitly. I am finally satisfied with how it came out and will be submitting it as soon as I get a good picture. I have also been learning how to crochet more advanced stitches and read patterns which is very exciting to me. I'm working on a scarf right now. Otherwise, it's just never ending business with my two kiddos and new home.
Here is a birthday card I made for a friend. Patterned paper is PTI and I stamped the swirls with my Fancy Pants Pollen Dust set. The circles were cut and embossed with my Nesties and ribbon is PTI Aqua Mist twill. I added some rhinestone bling too:)

And these are all the baby shower cards I did for the store. I think I'll call and see if they are selling at all...I had fun doing them. All the stamps are PTI Bitty Blessings and some random paper and ribbon. I did quite a bit of custom patterned paper and paper piecing. Thanks for looking!

Mojo Monday

I finally figured out how to get the sketch to load on my blog. :) Julee over at http://poeticartistry.blogspot.com has a mojo sketch every Monday and I like to play along most times. This challenge has a chance of being picked as one of her favorite submissions and winning a free Verve stamp set. Go check it out. If nothing else you'll get a card made!

My card uses the Serenity set and the Fluttering by set from Verve Visual. I really do love these stamps. The polka dots were stamped with my Polka Dot Basics set from PTI. I used the new Kraft color also from PTI,and black and white cardstock.

I wanted a look that would go well with the strip of crocheted edging I made yesterday. I like how it came out.

The blue ink is Indian Corn Blue from CTMH and the black is Versafine Onyx Black. The stamped image behind the sentiment was stamped in Versamark and chalked with my pearlesent chalks. The butterfly was stamped on the card and then again on Kraft, cut out and popped up. The pussy willows and butterfly wing edges were given a bit of sparkle with my Sakura Stardust pen. I added 3 black brads and a bit of sewing to finish it off. Hope you like it too!

Honey Bee Thank You

This was the first time I inked up my Honey Bees set from PTI. I like the two step bee and my hubby liked it too:) The flowers with the bee were stamped in Vineyard Berry,CTMH, second generation. The sentiment is also from the Honey Bee set. I like the font alot, very different than anything I have. I cut a scalloped oval, and two plains with my Nesties and matted them all. I used Kraft (PTI) and PTI white. The top oval is embossed as well. The paper I've had for quite some time and can't remember who it's by. The ribbon is some I got at Mikes for really cheap. Have a Beeautiful day:)

Path Of Life

This is a beautiful stamp from Our Daily Bread Designs called Path of Life. I stamped only part of the image on an oval cut from my Nesties. I watercolored the image in with my Prisma pencils and added some shimmery watercolor too. The back panel is embossed with my Cuttlebug and I added some sewing. Flowers are prima and the accents are faux dew drops. This set came with several nice scriptures, I added one to the inside for my sentiment, "Show me Your ways O Lord, teach me Your ways."

Christmas in July

It's been quite awhile since I've been able to blog here. What a crazy month and a half it's been! If you don't read my family blog we have been moving and with the move we lost internet access for about a month. It was awful LOL But, I'm finally back and have had a chance to make at least a few cards. I make Christmas cards for my dear friend who comes to stay with us each summer and here are the ones I made for her this year. I did 5 of each design. I finally got to use my new Mailbox set from PTI. Very cute set. Love all the sentiments. The embossing was done with my Cuttlebug snowflake folder.
The picture of this one didn't come out that well. I used PTI's Snowflake Serenade for the first time on this one. The craft paper is also PTI. You can't tell but the snowflakes are embossed with a glittery powder, added nice sparkle. The turqouise mat was embossed with my Cuttlebug Swirl folder.
I absolutely adore the shilhoutte blooms and nature set my CHF. These were just one layer cards but I thought they came out really pretty. Super quick too.

And I think this one is my favorite. I loved the design and I just love that bird stamp. (From Inkadinkando) The other stamps are from PTI and the sparkley embossed vellum was paper I had. The green is Spring Moss, PTI. I also Stickled the bird and berries with Stardust.
I plan on posting alot more again! It's good to be back.
